What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Is it true that the Kia warranty is not transferable if you sell the suv? Also, has anyone purchased or does anyone know about extended warranty options? I generally keep my cars for a long time so wondering about any extended warranty options and pricing. Thanks!

I believe the 10 year,100,000 mile powertrain warranty converts to 5 years/60,000 miles when the vehicle is sold. The other warranties remain the same for the second owner.

I have no clue lol. I bought it from i25 kia like lots of other members on this forum. They charge standard $695 for documentation and $25 or so for something else. Other than this fee, they sell at MSRP.

did you order or buy one they had? If you ordered, how long until delivery?

I ended up with a S trim AWD in Gravity Gray with gray interior. With the options it came with (floor mats, cargo cover, auto-dimming mirror with HomeLink, interior lighting, mud guards, and front skid plate), the MSRP was $38,920. Add $1,225 for destination charge, $5,089 for the warranty package disccussed above, $699 normal dealer fee, plus tax, title, and tag and it was $49K out the door. Sounds ridiculous until you ask a few dealers what they can put you in a used Telluride for and get quotes of $53K-$62K.
It does sound ridiculous. We picked up an S a few months ago at MSRP and it was under $39k out the door including taxes and destination. The MSRP was $35,560 before destination and taxes, but it was FWD.

Bought Friday at Jim Ellis Kia in Kennesaw, GA. I shopped all around the Atlanta area and everyone was charging MSRP + $5,000-$7,500 and were not budging. I went with Jim Ellis for 2 reasons:
  1. Their $5K mark-up included lifetime powertrain warranty, window tinting with lifetime warranty, 3 year fabric and paint coverage, 3 year key replacement, nitrogen filled tires, and door edge guards and door cup guards. I would never buy a package like that, but all of the other dealers were charging $5K-$7.5K and including nothing extra. With that lifetime powertrain warranty, I guess this vehicle will be with us until the grave.
  2. They had one arriving in the color we wanted and in AWD which was our only real must have. We really didn't want to wait 3-6 months for a special order.
Jim Ellis does not let people put a deposit on a car unless you order it directly from Kia. For stock cars, it is first come first served when it hits the lot. My salesman texted me Friday morning. By the time I was looking at the vehicle, there were 2 other customers waiting for me to decide if I wanted it or not.:p

I worked with Bryson at Jim Ellis. They were great throughout the process, and even threw in lifetime car washes.
For that much money they should have gave you a bumper to bumper full warranty for 100,000 miles. The SX Prestige with towing that I ordered is $49,775 plus tax, doc fee and TTL and that is without my trade.

I bought one of their canceled orders. So I got it on 2 months. Wasn't preferred interior [espresso] but I was getting in 2 months so I went with it. I love it now and so does anyone that rides with me.

I25 kia are high volume dealer so if you are not extremely picky about colors, you might get one within few weeks. Check with Dominic. He was my sales representative.

I live in Georgia and contacted all kia dealers in Georgia/Alabama. All their markups were 6000 at best. So I reached out dealer in NC called Deacon Jones Kia. They were only charging 4000 on SX models and open to negotiate down to 3000 markup. Purchased FWD ES SX trim without night fall and prestige option. MSRP+Inland freight was closed to 45000 and with 3000 markup, I was able to get it at 48000+tax and fees.
If I had enough time to wait I would have ordered from dealers that sell at MSRP but didnt really have time purchased my telluride + 3000 markup.
They take deposits not sure if its refundable or not but once they took my deposit, they took my telluride off from their website so I thought and believe its a good dealer to make a purchase. Out the door price was 52000 including tax and other fees.

I paid $3,000 over MSRP for my SX., not happy about it, but I am very happy with my new car.

Anyone buy one out of state to california and can share what the taxes/fees where? I know you pay an extra fee to deliver it which regardless its better than the mark up in california, but was taxes charged based on the state you bought it in or was it california tax? I know you have to now pay for a smog every 2 years, but that's fine since its just like 50 dollars.

You pay taxes where ever you register the car. So if you live in Utah county for instance, you'd register car there and pay Utah county vehicle taxes.

I got really lucky yesterday! Put a deposit down on an incoming unit at Hart Kia in VA. They only charged MSRP plus a $588 doc fee. It’s an EXP FWD with Tow. I had been on the hunt for an AWD SX, so I certainly compromised. But, I feel like the EX is still pretty packed with options, and I live in the South so truly didn’t NEED AWD. Also, did not want to wait 6+ months for an SX. Dealership seems to be pretty well rated. ETA was the end of January.

We got tired of the Florida dealers adding adjustments and fees to the MSRP and not wanting to negotiate. We found this forum and found Kia of Muncie and got our Costco pricing $1000 under MSRP. Reach out to Lucas.

Wondering about expectations for price off msrp—my dealer is now taking orders but will only do it for msrp. Any ideas about negotiating price or expected rebates/incentives? Are other Kia models discounted much?
Apparently will be paying MSRP from the Kia website in Beavercreek OH. Will see... ordered 11/6/2021 still waiting.

How does costco pricing work? Do you have to order through costco website or just flash your costco card at dealership :)?

They do have a website. But, it acts as a guide to help you find dealerships that offer/accept Costco pricing discounts. When shopping for Costco dealerships, in 2019 for Telluride, I could not find any in Florida. So, I found this forum and saved thousands. With the Costco dealer, you can buy from the lot or order what you want and wait. But, they still offer the Costco pricing.

I just changed my order for my SX and it looks like there is a price increase after 1/1. Base price went from $44,590 to $44,890. Destination charge went from $1,225 to $1,255.

Also, now illuminated scuff (sill) plates are backordered and not able to be placed with orders. That goes along with cross bars and wheel locks that are also backordered.

Seriously I thought the increase doesn't kick in until they start making 2023s?

Happened same way last year.. it is across the board on all models not just on Tellurides.
