Grill screens by Voltshop hopefully will protect my car.Yes, they are. Kia had the chance to do something with the re-design of the grill for 23. They chose not to. They knew full well this issue exists long ago and decided that it isn't worth doing anything about it. The 24 is the same as the 23. And owners are still getting their AC condensers punctured all the time. Sorry to say it.

I have the 2024 Telluride EX and found that it took awhile to cool the cabin down. The tech tested it and there was a leak and some of the R-15 refrigerant escaped. They replaced the compressor no charge with a reman (remanufactured) compressor.I want to start off by saying my wife and I really like this SUV. We waited and did our research before we bought the Telluride S model. Well, we have 400 miles on it and the AC started blowing hot air and gray smoke came out from under the engine and it smelled like Freon. Well its been at the KIA dealership all day and they got back to me saying there is a leak in the AC and have to wait for the KIA engineers to get back to them. It's new and we understood there might be some issues but this sucks. We only had it for 7 days. My question to you is: Have any of you had issues with the AC? Thank you in advance I will keep you up to date.
I had a similar problem with a minivan about 15 years ago. It was showing some wear and tear, about 2-3 years from being replaced. The repair bill was a bunch more than I had, or wanted to put into the car. The mechanic offered to just cap the refrigerant lines off for near nothing, leaving us to do with out the rear AC. I was fine with that, and never noticed a difference in the car's cooling. It might be an option for you.The AC in my 6 year old Telluride has been running warm, the mechanic says there are multiple rusted out leaks in the line going to the rear. Quoted $2400 to replace lines and recharge. Or $800 to block off AC to rear and recharge. Said lines are exposed to the NY state salt and slush.
