Text Alerts through Bluetooth Issue

When my Android phone is connected via Bluetooth, the infotainment system alerts me to a text and who is texting. However, it also alerts on up to 2 other texts simultaneously that I received in the past from different people. Anyone else seeing this issue and know if there is a fix? For example, Mike sends me a text. The infotainment shows a text from Mike on the screen. But also, a notification from Matt, and Mark come up but they have not texted me.
 
I have the exact same issue. It will show from a person of a text that was sent several years ago. It seems only if there are 2 text sent in a row. It is annoying. I am surprised there have not been a lot of complaints about it.

I have not found anything online about the issue. I suppose a case can be made with Kia but doubt it will go far. If you come up with anything, keep me posted and I'll do the same. Do you use Android or Apple?

Here is the weird thing. I have tried to make it happen and noticed it seems to only happen when someone with an iPhone send 2 texts in a row. I can't make it happen when some texting me who has an Android.

I've definitely seen it happen when someone with an iPhone texts me. And a single text. It's such a weird issue and so annoying!
 
Can someone please tell me if they have found a fix for this. It is super annoying and I will NOT buy a sticking Apple.

Did you figure out the issue ?
 
I can't even text with android auto plugged in i just receive texts and get a couple text from other contacts from along time ago and it's the very first text the random contact ever sent me very weird and very annoying what type of phone are you using?

I use a Google Pixel. Texting through Android Auto works perfectly, just not through the KIA infotainment system. It's never worked properly but I have yet to try a different phone.
 
Yes, that's the only way you can use AA

Yes. Plugged in via USB and screen mirroring so that texting is actually done through AA. I believe if you are not actively mirroring, texting and calls are routed through the Kia system, not AA.
 
I'll try that and see how it if it works I have a Samsung s7
 
Tried the screen mirroring when its plugged in and it doesn't fix the issue still cant send texts

I am having the same exact issue and its driving me insane. Has there been a resolution that you know of?
