If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

I saw people are having trouble finding SXs in any color other than Moss Green. Here is a Silver SX in the Atlanta metro area if anyone is interested (Buford to be exact). And they are at least starting at regular MSRP lol.

The dealer I got mine at yesterday had SX prestige in silver

It seems the advertising vehicles not in stock seems to be their standard operation procedure. When I complained to KIA about driving an hour and a half to see one shown on their website, they didn't seem too concerned about my complaint or waste of my time - which was very concerning too me.

That’s my concern as well. I don’t want to drive all through creation (actually bad So Cal traffic) for a bait and switch.

If the ad shows the VIN I’ve found you can google the VIN and if you see the same vehicle at multiple dealers then it’s probably the canned advertising one. I had this same problem when trying to find mine.

Good idea. Once a snake always a snake I suppose!!

You must call to verify inventory. The dealers want you in the door and want your contact info, so the pressure can start!

Great idea!
I work at a dealer. I can’t stand the fact that salespeople do this. I always send a video on the spot with the clients name in it to verify Telluride is at store. “ Hey Mr. Smith this is the Gravity Gray S model Telluride you see on our website while sending 30 sec clip” I highly recommend asking for short vid text to you “to verify the color and in stock”

We need more like you, Mr. Cantrelle...

I can't even get dealers to respond with stock info or prices. They all want me to come in and talk. I don't have the time or inclination to drag my tail around all of the dealers within 100 miles north of Chicago.

I’m thinking of starting a service on here to locate Tellurides for people since I have access.. connect clients with knowledgeable sales people after vetting them on the phone. 1.) I wonder if that would be allowed so need the Admin permission. 2.) do you think it would be worth say $50 to save people time and energy tracking down dealers who actually have the product? Problem is if you call a dealer they have the same access but if you aren’t spending money with them very unlikely they tell you who has it next to them.

What dealer do you work at? I've never had any salesman do any of this. Most are what others are saying, very vague, and wanting you to come in right away.

That’s the problem everyone is playing the stupid car game rather than just shooting people straight. I’m at Central Kia Plano TX. Service would only be good for about 5 months till everyone gets abundance of inventory. But for right now I can see everything. All inventory in the nation.. what is on the ground, in transit, being built and being assigned to be built in the nation.

Only seasoned guys and managers have access.

@JDoggery you just have to find the right dealership. I had a bad experience here in the Dallas area, went to the dealership a little further away but could not get them to give me any discounts and undervalued my trade. I then contacted a dealership almost 80 miles away with solid reviews on dealerrater.com and here is my experience. The salesman immediately sent me pictures of the vehicle. I told him what I was willing to give them and what I had to have for my vehicle over the phone. He then called me back about 20 minutes later and told me he could do the deal. I think added the additional incentives and also told him I needed a trailer hitch included in the deal. All of this was completed over the phone and I never set foot in the dealership. I was on my way out of town and paid the deposit over the phone, they sent the paperwork to me via FedEx overnight, I signed on Saturday and put them back in the mail. They delivered the vehicle to my front door on Monday evening, went over all the features and functions of the vehicle, helped set up my phone and the UVO and took my vehicle back with him. I refuse to buy a vehicle any other way as this is how I purchased my Genesis and previously my BMW. I only go into the dealership to test drive and nothing more. You just have to find the right dealer that understands how to provide customer service, which is a culture that really starts at the leadership level except for the select few who are self motivated to provide it.

That’s awesome service

Wow, that's quite the experience. I've managed some of that with the clown dealers in my area, working out everything, except signing the final paperwork, but man, that sounds great. I think, I'm talking to the wrong people at these dealers, lol. Would you mind sharing, the model, options, price info, etc. for what you got? Thanks.

@JDoggery I purchased a SX Prestige Moss Green with grey interior. Original MSRP was $46,910.00 plus the $1000 transport fee. They also had about $800 worth of add on's) Window Tint, Wheel Locks and pin stripping. Basically, I told them I was not paying for the destination fee, I was not paying for the $800 in add on's and I wanted the Trailer Hitch (installed) and remote start for my Key Fob added into the deal. Then I had $2900 in incentives that was taken off the $46,910 plus they gave me an extra $500 on my trade than everyone else. I was not happy with the finance rate as I have very good credit but took the deal to get the $1500 KFM incentive and will refinance at a lower rate with my local credit union unless KFM wants to match it. Even though I might could have waited a little longer and gotten a better deal I feel like for a brand new vehicle I got a fair deal that I am happy with.

That's the info I need, assigned to be built. I might have to make a road trip to Dallas, i'm in Houston.
