However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

It's interesting to see the dealers get very cocky about the sale, I have no hurry and can wait them out even longer. Most of the salespeople I have dealt with appear to seem like they don't need my business. They keep mentioning words like "flying of the shelves", "can't keep them in stock", "can't offer you any deals on this car". Be patient, the Palisade will be here soon.

Can’t agree more. They are trying to gorge themselves before the famine comes. I too may wait them out.

@JDoggery I purchased a SX Prestige Moss Green with grey interior. Original MSRP was $46,910.00 plus the $1000 transport fee. They also had about $800 worth of add on's) Window Tint, Wheel Locks and pin stripping. Basically, I told them I was not paying for the destination fee, I was not paying for the $800 in add on's and I wanted the Trailer Hitch (installed) and remote start for my Key Fob added into the deal. Then I had $2900 in incentives that was taken off the $46,910 plus they gave me an extra $500 on my trade than everyone else. I was not happy with the finance rate as I have very good credit but took the deal to get the $1500 KFM incentive and will refinance at a lower rate with my local credit union unless KFM wants to match it. Even though I might could have waited a little longer and gotten a better deal I feel like for a brand new vehicle I got a fair deal that I am happy with.

Sounds like the dealership padded their profit with a higher interest rate. If you have good credit you should have qualified for Kias 1.9 or 2.9% deal plus the $1,500. They can add % if they want and pocket that difference as profit. It’s shady but so is this whole car business.

Yeah, I was originally told you could not combine the better interest rate and the KMF incentive but now that I am hearing you can I am going to contract KMF. If they will not work with me then no biggie as I will wait 90 days and re-finance with my local credit union.

I'm pretty sure we got a good deal on price, not sure on final lease cost :) EX FWD, gravity grey w/ grey interior, carpeted floor mats and wheel locks. They had a price on their website that said $35,785 before rebates which I thought was probably a typo but they honored it. I used the founders club for the 1st months payment and the $1200 lease cash and agreed to $478 per month 36 months/12K miles with $0 paid up front. I saw an earlier post saying they were quoted around $440 per month on a little higher priced vehicle? I punched in numbers on the leasehackr site and others and it looked to be correct for the price. Love the vehicle.

Oh wow that was a great deal!!!

Yelled at general manager of a dealer that tried to scam/ bate & switch me, then we settled on $500 over invoice. we bought Telluride SX with Prestige package for $45.020 - $1500 KMF incentive - $1000 customer loyalty incentive - $400 military incentive so total out the door was $42,120.

Because this is an order, is your dealer able to guarantee you the Kia incentives ($2,500)? These incentives have expiration dates so depending on when your vehicle arrives, it may or may not apply.

All the dealers in my area are not able to guarantee me the incentives but they are all saying that Kia most likely will extend. It’s still a gamble for the customer. If they are so sure, the dealer should honor for us. Curious to know what your dealer is doing.

You are absolutely right. The dealer is able to promise only $1000 and the rest $1500 is kia discount due to financing. The dealer mentioned he has no control over the kia financing discount. He also mentioned that my $1000 deposit was refundable.

I was also able to get the cargo tray free but that was nothing.

Any words of wisdom guys? I have a lease up at the end of April and was looking to purchase a Telluride. These dealers here in So Cal are not budging yet. Should I just place an order at this point?

You could order but depending on what trim and color you want, I’m hearing it could 6-8 weeks for it to arrive unless you buy one that’s already on the lot.

As a "plan B" I would definitely consider negotiating a factory order and getting it "in the que" as soon as possible.. Most dealers will take a $500 - $1000 refundable deposit. At best, you might get lucky and get it in time and if not then you could consider renting a vehicle for the interim. Low risk move as you could always cancel before delivery, get your deposit back and the dealer still ends up with another Telly on the lot to sell.

So much FUD from so cal dealers. Some say that they can’t special order or also will not negotiate on an order (even though it’s free money for Them). Is it confirmed that special orders can be canceled and that the deposit is refundable? These guys are just so sketchy!

I placed an order today for a silver SX AWD. Paid MSRP (minus conquest, financing, founder incentives) but got them to throw in all weather mats, mud guards, cargo cover, and cargo tray. They also gave me decent trade value on a 16 year old Focus.

(Classic Kia in Waukegan, IL)
