I have a button in my key fob to start the car remotely. Just press the lock button, then not later than four seconds you should press/hold the car start button.

I am in Oman.R U in the USA or some other country?
Well go figure.... I would have thought that the U.S. would at least have a choice... Now we will be carrying around a second fob if we choose to have the RS installed. There goes another $2-300...

We just picked up my Wife's brand new Telluride today.
Does anyone know if after the free year, do you have to pro-actively subscribe to the UVO service,
or is it one of those annoying things where they auto-renew/start charging you if you do not remember to cancel once the free year is up?
(Hoping the prices have come down dramatically a year from now.)
Since I am at work, and the car at home. I can't take a photo of key fob right now. But, check this out. This is how it looks like, I found this online.Howdy,
Pictures... or it didn't happen.![]()
Judging from the picture of that remote compared to mine I am thinking that the pictures on the buttons are the only difference. I’ve seen with most of the aftermarket remote starters that work almost plug n play with factory FOB‘s that you can reprogram buttons on the remote to do what you need to. For example my S model does not have an electric remote hatch, so that button does nothing for me. But I could reprogram it for remote start or possibly a triple press of the lock engages the remote start if programmed that way?Since I am at work, and the car at home. Yes. with the Idatastart or viper you press the lock button three times to start. I got a quote on install for viper for $350. They said there is no harness for either and they have to tap into the wiring. There is a youtube video to install the Idatastart. Not for the feint of heart though. Palisade does have remote start on keyfob. but not on Santa fe's.Judging from the picture of that remote compared to mine I am thinking that the pictures on the buttons are the only difference. No T-harness yet, but I’m guessing it’s just a matter of time. I’m guessing by the time my free UVO expires there will be a T-harness and possibly lower the install cost and time or even offer a DIY option.Yes. with the Idatastart or viper you press the lock button three times to start. P,S.
$350 to install 7pin connector pin to towing package if anyone is interested in that oversight by Kia and Hyundai.

I have read on the Kia web site thst the the Telluride comes with remote start as standard as long as you have the UVO app and subscription. When I asked the Kia dealer they said it does not have remote start. Does anyone know what the answer is?
How long the free subscription for remote start? No T-harness yet, but I’m guessing it’s just a matter of time. I’m guessing by the time my free UVO expires there will be a T-harness and possibly lower the install cost and time or even offer a DIY option.
How long the free subscription for remote start?
Also how long the time of remote start? Any idea to extend the timer while in the remote start mode?
