What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Wow, so the guy is an ass. Most that I dealt with who talked about market adjustments were still pretty professional. I did have a local sales manager tell me I couldn't test drive one since I wasn't going to be buying from him. He was over MSRP, but did offer to work with me on a future allocation or potential order at MSRP. I wasn't interested in paying MSRP and ordering given that I could have gone up the road and ordered from the folks at Muncie.
As I peruse the forum, I see plenty of “I ❤️ Kia of Muncie” type posts. What is the wait time for order to delivery there currently? Anyone have a Muncie Telluride delivered recently care to share your order to delivery story?

There is a whole thread on this:

Short version, it's about customer service. They have no magic sauce to get your car sooner. The difference is that a) they can get you a car under MSRP and b) you are treated fairly.

I'm still waiting on mine but based on some of the horror stories I've read and experienced myself, I'm okay with the wait.

As others have said, the guys at Muncie will be upfront with you. I would email them and let them know what you want. I'd also ask how many people are ahead of you. You can use the Telluride Lookup link to see how many Muncie has allocated and compare that to what they believe your wait might be. If you want an SX-P, which seem to be harder to get, then I would consider using the Lookup sheet and calling dealerships where you'd be willing to pick up and see if any of them are unallocated. I would not expect to get a discount like the kind Muncie offers. You might get lucky though on delivery and price. I got lucky. Great deal plus 13 days from deposit to pick up on the vehicle I wanted.

Fairfax Kia will sell to you with bo mark up, but you'll have to wait for one to arrive and put money down to hold it.
If you want to make the drive to MD, Kia of Bowie sells at sticker too.
Not much else in the DMV does.
We just ordered an EX with Premium package and they are still selling at sticker price.

I just heard Telly price increase by Kia. $275 up
every trim level

See the thread titled 1/3 price increase... you're a little late to the party. But yes, they did raise prices effective January 3rd. You ordered with Muncie - Jason posted about the price increase last month.

Yep. They held firm. I said "you're asking 10k over MSRP" and laughed. He went on some spiel and I zoned out. I told him I'd be happy to pay MSRP, but I wasn't interested in paying anything over MSRP. He launched into his BS again, and I told him I'd just order one and to have a nice day. He then mocked me for wanting to order one because "I wouldn't get it until September".

I'll undoubtedly avoid these guys in the future.

Hi BEaggie, I had dealers quote me $5k and $7k over msrp. I eventually just started calling dealers to see what they each had on order that wasn't sold yet. When I found an SX I wanted at msrp, I went to the dealer and put a deposit down. I wouldn't recommend ordering one unless this method fails. I was told Jun - Aug range if I ordered one and didn't want to wait. I hope this helps! 🙂

Just a data point, but my VIN sticker just made for a order made back in September has the old pricing. The pricing increase may be tied to order date, not calendar date.

I don't know when my order was placed or when it was allocated to the dealership, but mine was built in mid-January. It had the old price on it. That was a nice "win."

B121. That is helpful. Thank you.

I went ahead and bought a used 2019 GMC Terrain last week. My wife had a 2010 Venza V6 AWD and the rear diff went out. We needed a vehicle for her and just didn't have the time wait out a good deal on a Telluride. We're now planning to wait til the summer and try again on the Telluride. Maybe get a 2021 and trade in my Accord.

Hi all!! Some of you may have seen my post in the dealership markup thread about my horrible experience with Jack Daniels Kia in Fair Lawn, NJ. They tried to up charge me 15K for a SX-P Telluride. When I told them another dealership was willing to order it as I wanted at MSRP they told me no one will do that and if someone says they will you should go there but we will not.

So that is exactly what I did! Today I picked up that beautiful Black on Black SX-P Telluride with Tow Package :) and I paid MSRP for it. And the dealership is NUTLEY KIA in Nutley, NJ (Ask for Pete). Not only are they not playing stupid up charging games, but Pete and the whole dealership are also a pleasure to work with. AND all their vehicles, new, used, financed or leased come with One year of service for free (2 oil changes). I can't recommend this dealership enough. They took great care of me.

I also am purchasing a tire and wheel package from Jason Fox at Muncie, Kia, who you all know well on here.

Please DM me with any questions and please let Nutley know that Perry sent you if/when you go!! This was te easist car buying experience Thank you nutley!!

Wondering about expectations for price off msrp—my dealer is now taking orders but will only do it for msrp. Any ideas about negotiating price or expected rebates/incentives? Are other Kia models discounted much?
I paid msrp in Ma.

Please stop while you are ahead. You just replied to a Feb 20, 2019 post. Please reply to latest posts rather than old ones - that user solved his Telluride situation a long time ago. Also, there is a thread asking for good dealers in the New England area - your experience may help that poster.

I purchased my SXP from Jack Daniels and I'd like to have a discussion with you regarding my experience but I can't figure out how to DM on this site.

There is a box next to your user ID top right. We might both have to be online to do so. I look forward to chatting soon.

Update- our EXP Gravity Grey Telluride came home today! After about a month of waiting Jeff from Liberty Kia in Ramsey NJ ended our quest to find this vehicle AT MSRP!! I’ll detail my experience later. Just wanted to share with all.

Thanks for providing all the feedback on this forum.
