  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Are TrueCar prices for real? I'm getting "offers" from dealers for 3k under MSRP? I havent responded to them because they arent the color i want... just wondering if anyone else has gotten this pricing successfully thru TrueCar?

So, when you go to TrueCar.com, and select Telluride for zip code 10011, it says that "market average is $4,390 above MSRP". The only real price is the price you negotiate at the dealership. Try taking that "email offer" from the internet director at X dealership to that dealership... you'll be in for a fun ride. You might get a nominal discount on an LX that a dealership is trying to move - other than that... good luck. Have fun negotiating!

An email offer is not a binding commitment, and they may include all kinds of possible rebates in the price quote - some of which you may not qualify for. TrueCar is not a very useful tool for the Telluride - or any vehicle for that matter - it should be just a reference point for a negotiation.

Worth a shot. you can always walk away.

Just found a SXP/T Black with Dune Brown available for $6,200 over MSRP in NC off the Lookup Chart. I just laughed at the dealer and said call me if you come back to MSRP. Bless you!

What date did the price increase go into effect?

1/3/2020 - but check window sticker. It depends on when it was allocated we think. Some stickers are still coming out with old prices, but they are 2019 orders.

Right. I had a 2019 order and got the new price. EXACT same build the day prior is $675 cheaper. Doesn't seem right.

Depends I think on when the vehicle was actually allocated to dealer or planned in production. A 2019 order may not have been factory allocated until now, so it might reflect the increase. I assume you checked your window sticker and that's where you saw the increase.

Yes. Orders that were accepted before the increase shouldn't be marked up.

Like everything else in life you gotta draw the line somewhere and it sucks when you’re on the wrong side of that line. Kids born on september 2nd have to wait a whole extra year to start school. A kid born a day prior can start school a year earlier. That doesn’t seem right as well but that’s how it goes.

ordered today at napelton Elgin. sx-p with towing. costco discount gives 1k under sticker. dealer saying 6 to 8 months to delivery

Hope you have a good experience. Two people on the forum (at least) ended up cancelling their orders with them as they couldn't seem to get them fulfilled. But, 6-8 seems like a reasonable estimate. Read thread titled "Scored" for a story.

Hi everybody. New to this thread but finding everybody’s input very helpful. Looking to get into an EXP AWD in Everlasting Silver with Black interior by the summer time of 2020, live in Denver,CO. New baby on the way due September so hoping to begin the process now so we are not panicking come August. Any advice on finance vs lease options for best possible price. Any good leads would be welcome! Thanks!

Hello and welcome! A few notes. First, if you are considering EXP AWD, you might also want to consider the SX AWD. Why? There are little features of the SX that may be worth the price difference to you. (1) LED headlights (EX headlights are poor, but you can replace with aftermarket - see forum for a great HID solution). (2) SX has memory seats and mirrors and (3) black wheels (not necessarily an improvement over machined silver) (4) Homelink rearview mirror. Several other features. Anyway, just something to consider... but I think price difference is still around $3k. So, may not be worth it to you.

That being said, use the forum tools to help you find your desired vehicle.

Search "production stats" on forum to find a Google sheet.

With all these tools you can filter and find a recently produced vehicle (VIN) matching your desired specs. But, keep in mind it could be pre-sold.

Also watch Dealer Inventory section - sometimes dealers will post unsold allocations here - they tend to sell quickly.

Also, follow @StephenCantrelle as he sometimes has the ability to put in an order into KFOS directly around the middle of the month. I think he recently had an EX he could enter.

Lots of info to read... there are some good Colorado dealers. Members have shared experiences - you can search around.

As for financing vs leasing, Kia's captive finance company rates are the most attractive. You are unlikely to get a good lease deal right now. Kia has had a finance rebate available for customers, OR a very low APR (0.9%) rate. Kia's money factors are high, so leases can be expensive. All depends on your preferences.

Just got my Telly yesterday. Bought it from Classic Kia, Waukegan, IL (highly recommend this dealer, very easy and straightforward to deal with).

Price I paid: $47,260 (SX-P/T)
Exterior Color: Dark Moss
Interior Color: Dune Brown

I have attached some pictures (The price above does not. include running-board that I had installed extra)
