Price announced. $48,900 starting price. I knew it would be <50K and pick up right where the Telluride leaves off. ; )

Instead of cherry-picking individual features, let’s look at it from a different perspective. What does the GV80 offer at $48,900 that the Telluride does not in terms of features, quality of standard materials, etc.
You can't compare top trims. The GV80 is on a RWD platform and offers a significantly more powerful top engine. Apples and Oranges here. Might as well be comparing the Telluride to the Lincoln Aviator...
Agreed. Telluride SX-P versus GV80 base model is an interesting comparison considering they are essentially the same price.
Besides, that GV80 is too nice inside for anyone that has kids!
Lol Which is exactly why we passed on the prestige package! That headliner is too nice for toddlers. HUD would've been nice tho
The GV80 is one to wait on. I wouldn't rush out and purchase it at MSRP or potentially higher. Unlike the Telluride, it has significant margin baked into price to attempt to compete with offerings from Mercedes and BMW. I'll wait for the reviews, but I highly doubt it will handle as well as an X5... and I think demand in the US will be rather minimal compared to other luxury options in that price range. Then, the discounts will appear. It's an intriguing entry into luxury segment, but at that price I think the luxury manufacturers have nothing to be concerned about.
I think it will be be great competition against the popular XC90, which can get way up there in price and has a questionable drive train. Genesis doesn't have to beat the X5 and GLE to be successful. They just need to lure buyers who don't want to spend $100k on those cars with options.
$48,900 is priced out of the market? Were you expecting it to be cheaper than a Kia? I’m confused.
