Moss green AWD S out the door financed $33,488. 0 down,no trade, 1.9% @48 months. Wheel locks and cargo tray came with it. MSRP was $37,xxx. Would of went for the .9% however they offered an additional $1,500 off MSRP for 1.9%. Also got the loyalty discount t and dealer discount. Happy with the deal. The SX is awesome but overkill for us.

Also paid for taxes and tags and fees out of pocket.

I took the $1500 and KIA Financing and then paid it off 2 days later. Just had to wait for the KIA Finance company to recognize the loan in their system.
When you paid it off, do you pay off the principal or you have to pay off the principal + interest over the life of the loan?

Quoted $36,982 Out the Door for a Telluride S Snow White Pearl, Black Leather That includes the $1500 KMF incentive. This is the first pass so I’m going to try and talk them down further. How am I doing so far?

Looking at a EX AWD with MSRP $40,510 based on what I have seen invoice should be about $37,642. One dealer is quoting $1000 off local dealer discount, plus $1500 Kia Financing rebate (2.9% for 66 mo) and $1000 rebate conquest since I have a qualified vehicle (Subaru). Seems like a decent offer with purchase price of $37,010 before taxes and fees etc... This is with no negotiation

The other dealer that is closer to me is telling my that if I take the 2.9% financing I cant get the $1500 rebate (unless I choose 60 months term which is not what Kia approved me for lol) but would get the $1000 conquest rebate and is currently offering only $750 off local dealer discount. So $38,760.00 before tax and fees. If I take the 4.9% Kia Financing then they are willing to give me the $1500 financing rebate. Sounds like BS to me?! I can't get a straight answer direct from Kia about this.

Any insight about this? Seems like dealer shouldn't be giving me a hard time for mfg incentives. I know they get kick back from Kia for using their financing. Pre-approved online financing is a joke - cant get anyone at Kia directly to answer and questions keep directing me back to dealer or Kia customer service who routes me to Kia financing and around and around it goes.

FYI and food for thought since there are no crash test studies out yet insurance for the Telluride is higher right now - might go down after tests are done. My agent told me that also since the cost of repairing a Kia is higher than Subaru that the insurance on Kia brand is more.

If you take the $1500 for using KIA Financing, how soon can you refinance?

According to my credit union you can refinance as soon as you have title in hand. Dealership may tell you to wait 6 payments but that is because they are getting a kickback from Kia for you doing Kia financing. If you refi before 6 payments dealer loses their kickback but your deal has already been done they can't come back at you.

I switched my insurance because Geico insurance just on my vehicle (not the entire policy) almost doubled from my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Went to Progressive to get a quote and it dropped by $100 on that vehicle change and then I saved another $300 every six months my my other two vehicles (G80 Sport and Infiniti Q60). Everyone' situation is different plus state and location play a major factor so there are a lot of variables but just sharing my experience. Definitely shop around!

Tim-in-CA...seems like things are beginning to loosen up now based on lack of "on-lot" inventory. Had 3 dealers that were willing to place a factory order at $500 over invoice last week (including accessories) and now 2 of those same dealers are offering to sell me the same vehicle (SX w/Prestige) at invoice (for the factory order). I'm now beginning to wonder if any of them are willing to go below invoice. Glad I decided to be patient and wait out this feeding frenzy.
where in ca? i'd like to order at invoice

I went to a dealer in Central Florida yesterday. I have a 2016 Sorento SX lease that expires on the 21st, and I am about 10k over mileage
Dealer said they would ground my lease there and cover my overage charges. Offered me the below on an Ebony Black EX [w/o tow hitch]

Sales Price- 45988 [sticker was around 39500, so they'rr marking up]
Negotiated price after discounts 42455.51
Fees 2057.51
Money Factor on a 48/12 lease .00206 [my credit score is over 780 so IDK why the MF is so high]

Quoted me monthly payment of 578 with 2595 downpayment, said it includes taxes.
I told them I would think about it, but there's nothing to think about after reading through this entire forum for the last 50 mins. They can kick rocks.

I think I will just buy out my Kia. Payoff is about 23K but with all the added fees, I will be financing around 27K for the Sorento. Not sure what other choice I have since my lease is up next week!

A few observations:
  1. MSRP and Sticker are the same. It appears from your description the dealer is adding to the MSRP / Sticker. Could be the the ubiquitous "phoney Munroney" as described here www.youtube.com/watch?v=hECdkHbfeKc which is a questionable practice....adding market adjustments and and other nonsense. Also could be rolling in your lease mileage overage.
  2. Negotiate that Money Factor. That's 4.95% interest. Ridiculous. Also check with your local credit union. if you're hell bent on the Telluride. You could do much better.
