What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Why would they care whether you're buying or leasing? Sales price is sales price, just different ways of financing it. Dealer gets the same profit either way. Tell them you want to lease it and agree on a sales price, then change your mind and say you'd rather just purchase for that price.
Its the bargaining power. Its just not there for the consumer. Supply and demand for them. They honesty around me keep the tellurides for less than a week before they sell so its almost impossible to get them to discount them outside of rebates and I totally understand, why sell at a discount if you dont have too with such low inventory.

I gotcha. I misunderstood you and Taco I think - I was under the impression that you two were running into difficulty getting any deals BECAUSE you were buying, rather than leasing. Rather, just in general, you're not seeing the deals. All depends on the dealers, I suppose. Maybe it's just the fact that I ordered it that I got a good price - dealer has to do zero work, doesn't have to hold on to the vehicle at all, and get's a decent profit as soon as it's delivered.

The majority of dealers I emailed didn't want to discount them at all either, but I had one other that matched my invoice offer as well. I didn't go with that dealer since they weren't transparent with all their other numbers, so my initial dealer got my (repeat) business, and will likely continue getting my business by being transparent while offering a decent deal at the same time.

Wondering about expectations for price off msrp—my dealer is now taking orders but will only do it for msrp. Any ideas about negotiating price or expected rebates/incentives? Are other Kia models discounted much?
I have an offer from one dealership for $37955 on a 2wd EX with tow package using my own financing. The only rebate I have added into offer was $400 military rebate.

NJ Resident here, have reached out to 10 dealers around the area, including NY and no one is willing to go below MSRP on an SX AWD Prestige pkg. The one dealer who has the exact car that we like is not willing to budge on the MSRP, their current offer on the lease is the following:

Residual is 63%
MF- .00199

Appreciate your guys input on the below, trying to work out the best deal or just wait it out. We are pressed to get a car soon.

MSRP on the Vehicle is $46,860 + Tax $1796.83+ DMV $400 + Acq $650 + Doc $499.
Dark Moss/Black Interior

Option 1 Sign and Drive quote- $769.84 a month.

Option 2 Pay the Tax+ DMV+ Acq+ Doc = $3345.82 brings the payment down to $689.65.

They are saying they took the lease incentives into account, not sure they did. The website is currently showing the following on a more loaded version with Tow Package.

Kia Lease incentive of $2330

If getting below MSRP is your goal I suggest you wait until the demand dies down some. The dealers are using simple economics.

Have you tried using Costco or Sams Club TrueCar? Took quite a bit of time, but was able to find a dealer that honored their pricing. Not sure if any dealers in your area are participating, but maybe worth a try?

What was the discount Costco? Was this for an SX?

Your right on, at some point, I have to give in a little, cannot win it all. Wondering what your thoughts on the lease structure for zero down provided by a local dealer.

3 years back signed up for Costco in order to utilize their pricing for a Pilot, it was useless at that time. Going to give the Sams Club a shot and see if that provides a winner, thanks for the suggestion.

Just tried Sams Club auto buying program, they are stating I am eligible for the following:
$2,000+ in additional benefits at no cost to you!
Buyer's Bonus

Lets, see what the dealers participating in this can provide, if I can get the $2000+ savings after the lease incentives, etc. This would be a winner.

The Costco website lists dealer in its network but then it tells you no one in the tri state area is participating. I am sure the program works on cars that’s been around, just not the Tellmeride.

That dealer seems to be giving you inflated numbers in my opinion. Check out the LeaseHackr calculator linked here. It’s already filled out with your numbers, and would seem to suggest a monthly of $610, assuming tax is 6.625% and paid upfront (and also a 36mo lease, since I didn’t see the term specified, but those residual numbers look to be what I’ve seen for 36/12k). Thus, it’d be $2066 due at signing.

If you can roll the tax into the payment, it should be $651/mo, with only first month due at signing. Ask the dealer for the actual lease worksheet to see where they’re getting their numbers from. I wouldn’t trust them.

LouV- Prices will be dropping during the middle of May, per my S/Mgr. They will be in full production mode in Georgia by then. LOL

Welcome! I'm definitely subscribing to this!
Try this link. www.fightingchance.com. Retired Col. in the military in CA, will give u legit info. His website gives u information dealers won't. Also these car websites (True Car, Edmunds) are a joke. They work for the dealer not u. Check out this website, it will enlighten you. I called him Mr. Bragg) back in 2017 when I bought my 2018 Genesis G80 Sport. Hope this helps.

With this being a brand new model, wouldn't they really have no more data than we can get from the internet now and safe us $50? Serious question. We all know invoice price and it's far enough from MSRP that anything below MSRP is a win at least for now. I will be negotiating my final price in a few weeks when it's delivered and I have been going over my approach. It's a steep hill with limited supply on SX Prestige in any color due to current supply vs demand.

Yes, it was AWD Telluride SX with Prestige package, carpeted floor mats, rear teifold cargo mat and wheel locks.
Did that include taxes and title? That is one hell of a deal otherwise.

Not sure how the taxes differ from Texas to NJ, but my out the door price after incentives and taxes, title, and registration was 48,200 for purchasing and not leasing. So that's a $375 difference.

Title, registration and all delivery charges, etc. Only thing not in this price is taxes.
I spoke with them yesterday and was not given the same deal. I was told they aren’t willing to give any discount or go below msrp because of high demand and will keep cars in lot for ticket price. Who was your salesman? We’d love to order at $44 or anything less than 47k OTD in white with butterscotch interior prestige package but it doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon
