Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Just picked up my 2021 SX AWD w/tow Gravity Grey from Kia of Muncie, Lucas Boehm. I waited a bit (December 2019) but it was worth it. Lucas and Jason put the dealers in my area (Milwaukee) to shame. It was a 5 hour drive to pick it up but I didn't care. Lucas spent a good part of the day explaining all he could about the car so the delivery process was just as smooth as the ordering process. You won't be disappointed.
THANK YOU KIA OF MUNCIE!!!

Pricing from Muncie was very straight forward. MSRP minus the Costco discount. Also the 2021's qualify for a $500 discount if you finance through Kia Finance of Atlanta. FYI, NO prepayment penalties!

Has anyone had any experience with with Kia of Murfreesboro (Tennessee)? Or any other dealers in Central Tennessee?

Royal Kia in Tucson has been great. I opted to go with them for an SX-P vs out of state order. They sell at MSRP but have $1100 of mandatory items like window tint and advanced surface protection. I tried to negotiate out of those or atleast discount. They were respectful and said their hands were tied with the ones already incoming. If we ordered then there wouldn’t be any add on’s.

They estimated an order would be 5-6 months. While I wasn’t wild about the add on’s, the tint is of good quality (3M color stable) and performed by reputable installer and we have little kids so I guess the advanced surface protection couldn’t hurt. I suppose it’s better than paying $800-900 for shipping and then needing to do tint on a vehicle that wasn’t due in until maybe November or December had we gone out of state.

All things considered I am happy with Royal Kia in Tucson as the cheapest I could get in Phoenix area was $5000 over and that was negotiated down from $7999.

Today I ordered an SXP through Lev Kia of Framingham, MA. It was easy; called Ken Russian and put down $500 on my card. The whole thing took under five minutes since I knew exactly what I wanted on the car. Ken is a straight shooter, very businesslike and unlike many car salespeople, applies zero pressure. He also happens to be from my hometown. The price is straight MSRP minus any available incentives or rebates from Kia at the time of delivery. The only not so great part is the 22 week delivery window, but on the other hand that gives me six months to comfortably plan for the purchase. I guess I’ll be back in January!

Congratulations on the order! Agree with everything you said. Hopefully I take delivery from Ken and Lev sometime Oct/Nov. Just for your awareness, Lev does have a documentation fee of $375. But otherwise, MSRP + incentives and rebates....very straightforward.

Rich, when / what trim did you order?

First week of June we ordered a Moss / Dune SX-P AWD with Tow. Estimate was 16-20 weeks.

Did you find a dealer and place an order yet?

$375 doc fee is cheaaaappp on a new car imo. Around here they're over $600 all day. Seen one $899 at a KIA dealership on autotrader which I thought was absurd but it was in Northern VA tho. This is of course without the dealer addendums or "market adjustments" too.

Agree. Reasonable and about average in Mass from my previous dealings.

Where is this $500 discount/rebate you are referring to? I don’t see this on KIA’s website.

At least as of July, you got a $500 incentive for financing through Kia. Not sure if that is still around in August.

Regarding discounts; do dealers give discounts for all cash sales these days?

@ChipC What color combo and trim did you end up ordering?

Congrats! Glad to hear your experience with Muncie was so positive. When in December did you order your Telly?

Hey everyone, just ordered out 2021 SX AWD with tow, Moss with espresso from Kia of Muncie, Lucas Boehm is a pleasure to do business with!! I have been emailing him for at least 6 weeks and he finally let me know we were up to bat. Anyone looking to order and get a great price(under MSRP), give them a shout!! Thanks again Kia of Muncie!!
How long is your wait?

It was like $695 for some kind of 3rd brake light plus $249 for window tint. When I asked if this was necessary they said yes.
Window tinting is NOT necessary! It's an option that makes the dealer a bunch of money!

Hi all!! Some of you may have seen my post in the dealership markup thread about my horrible experience with Jack Daniels Kia in Fair Lawn, NJ. They tried to upcharge me 15K for a SX-P Telluride. When I told them another dealership was willing to order it as I wanted at MSRP they told me no one will do that and if someone says they will you should go there but we will not.

So that is exactly what I did! Today I picked up that beautiful Black on Black SX-P Telluride with Tow Package :) and I paid MSRP for it. And the dealership is NUTLEY KIA in Nutley, NJ (Ask for Pete). Not only are they not playing stupid up charging games, but Pete and the whole dealership are also a pleasure to work with. AND all their vehicles, new, used, financed or leased come with One year of service for free (2 oil changes). I can't recommend this dealership enough. They took great care of me.

I also am purchasing a tire and wheel package from Jason Fox at Muncie, Kia, who you all know well on here.

Please DM me with any questions and please let Nutley know that Perry sent you if/when you go!! This was the easiest car buying experience Thank you nutley!!
Curious about the tire and wheel package you are getting. Are you switching from 20's to 18's? If so, why?

@Kao , there is a multi-quote option that allows you to quote multiple (hence the name) postings and respond to all in one message. Since I'm watching this thread, my inbox is getting blown up! Slow down, brother.

The wheel and tire package is a protection plan / warranty. Reach out to @Jason Fox for specifics
