If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... @reigndeerz , Please take a photo of what the rear light looks like: at night, the side light and the brake light are on, i.e. how the whole taillight burns in the dark. thanks.

Took this at a moderately lit parking lot at night. Unfortunately could not figure out how to get a photo with brake lights on, without enlisting my wife's help...which I know would have put my marriage at risk :)

Hope this helps.

I'm interested to see how the brake lights work in relation to the side light. In the first post, where you described the process and attached a photo, it seemed to me that they merge.

What do you mean?
So In order for the LED lights to fit in the headlight housing you need to remove the desiccant inside the dust cover. The desiccant Is used to keep moisture out of the headlight unit. My concern is that by doing that, will the headlight eventually start collecting moisture?

Let me see if I can explain.

The tail assembly has a total of 4 bulbs.
1 and 2 - tail lights
3 - tail + brake light --> this is the only bulb in the assembly that lights up when the brakes are tapped
4 - side marker

Although bulbs 1 through 3 are the exact same bulb (21/5W), only bulb 3 lights up further when braking. Bulb 4 (side marker) functions in tandem with bulbs 1 and 2, but does not light up further when bulb 3 does.

This is true for both the LX and S trim. Believe that EX and SX have a completely different tail light assembly that also includes the rear indicator lighting (LX and S have separate rear indicator lights).

I actually managed to get the LASFIT headlights in without taking out the dessicant pack, so it wasn't a concern for me.

The YouTube guide said to remove it to ensure sufficient ventilation, but the LEDs do not run anywhere near as hot as the halogens, and as such I'm not as concerned.

Good info; installing Lasfits in the headlights today

When I swapped out the tail and brake lights, I noticed the brightness when the brakes were depressed barely was noticeable. The led lights are so bright when just driving that when my wife applied the brakes, it did not look like there was a change in the rear brake light and almost looked like the brakes were depressed all the time, so I ended up removing them. It may be my lack of faith in the attention of other drivers, but wasn't worth the risk at night of people possibly not seeing i was slowing down, or always assuming I was riding the brakes.

Got around to installing the Lasfit LED headlights. Overall an easy swap. For the right side; I unmounted the radiator over flow tank. My hands are big so moving it to the side was a huge help. Attaching pics but still need a night drive to see the full effect. Hope this helps

Awesome thanks for the pics! Ordered mine but won’t be here till 12/28. They look great!

Update: wife just got home. I asked her about the headlights since it was the first drive in the dark. She said she could see fine but people were flashing her thinking she was running high beams. She flashed the highs back at them 😂. I’ll have to take a drive for myself and see if maybe I can adjust the aim down a click or two.

Lol! No one's flashed me while driving in the dark yet, thankfully!

I tried to ask her if the vehicles that flashed her were cars or trucks but she wasn’t paying that much attention 🤷‍♂️ I will have to take it out and see what happens.

Did you end up running led brake lights and standard tail lights? Or standard both ?

Led replacement bulbs all the way but they were so bright it looked like I was driving with the brakes pressed. I just went back to the standard while still trying to find a red buld not listed as "superbright."

Sounds like maybe standard tail lights and led brake lights might do the trick.. I have only done the headlights and debating how much I want to tear apart to do the other lights.

That configuration will mean you will still have 1 with a higher luminosity as you're driving without braking, as the LEDs are typically brighter than standard bulbs.

Look at the before vs after photos and imagine how the tail light assembly would look with 2 standard tail bulbs and a single led for the brake bulb.

Went on the first night drive for me with the Lasfit; these lights are so bright. Wife and I love them. Is there anyway to adjust the aim; maybe a click or two lower. It’s something I’ll have to mess around with but not sure if the assemblies are adjustable. If not; oh well
