This is why I just traded it. It wasn't worth the year long battle with Kia when I could get almost $4k more than I paid.I went through pain of two GM full size SUVs and GM. What I have learned that if dealer hears from the manufacturer "do not accept", they will never reproduce or detect that complain saying "all within spec". GM told dealers, rough idle in 5.3L is acceptable, if it is under certain large pico value and that was it. I have tried it all. You can ride with them, record videos, bottle-test it but dealer can't care less because GM will not pay that warranty claim to that dealer. Kia is exactly the same based on the 1200+ posts.
All I am asking that dealer to undo the deal, cancel the contract since it is 6 days old and car is 600 miles only. My trade-in is sitting on their lot and I am gladly take it back. Wish me luck to undo this deal. I think this is the most amicable way of resolving it. With GM I did win both of my cases but it look years, a very good attorney, lot's of personal time with 20+ repair and inspection visits. Attorney General was involved and was swift and very effective too. BBB was involved (but frankly my impression that BBB is eating of manufacturers' hands, at least in my state).
