April 8th order, still nothing!

This is my first post and have been following forum for weeks.

I placed my order on April 8th and still nothing. I am being told my options are possibly the problem. White, SX, gray leather, prestige with tow package and a few other options like lighting.

Does anyone have a contact other than local dealer, they have been surprising unhelpful! Will not even return calls. Order was verified/accepted in system.

March 25th. Moss/dune prestige with skid plate, mud flaps, scuff plate, bumper, lighting kit. Told maybe mid to late august. The whole system is a little slow right now.

have you tried going in to the dealer and asking to speak with the manager? that worked for us to get some answers.

Have spoke to manager multiple times. I think they are also frustrated!

ordered end of march was given a delivery date of 6/28 like 2 weeks ago then that date was changed on 6/28 to 7/21 no one really has the answers I think its just the luck of the draw. I do have a vin though, did you get a vin #?

No VIN, was told order accepted in system that was it.

Did you order the skid plate? I'm starting to wonder if skid plate orders are stuck in limbo since it has been removed from the options list.

I've heard that too, however my dealer has had several SX orders come in with tow, but none with prestige, so I'm thinking it's something with the prestige package. I read in another thread they had supplier issues with the nappa leather, but who knows.

Slow is a kind word... April for me.... I remember that in the 50's, 60's, 70's...most car manufacturers sent new models to their dealerships in Sept. /Oct previous year so peole could see and order one .. Now we are dealing with a 2020 brought out in spring of 2019 and... some of us will finally get them...hopefully before the 2021's are introduced. My dealership was Brand New in this last spring... They received an initial order of 15 T-Rides... none were SXP with AWD/Tow. Sold in a blink...Since then 2 allocations of 6 each... and 1 of four... All are sold or traded to other dealers ( most outside my area) and now only one lonely Black S is left... In all of this... only 2 SXPs in the bunch and again..not what I ordered. So...they are selling like crazy but it seems they are pushing only the models that are easier to sell....not those close to the $50k mark.....and the waiting continues.

We ordered our SX Limited (In Canada that's the trim with captains chairs). We pre-ordered our Telluride May 17th, 2019. 6 weeks later the dealership called and told us that we still don't have a VIN# and the Napa leather is on backorder and that we won't be receiving our Telluride SX Limited (White w/Grey interior) until NOVEMBER 2019!! We are extremely disappointed. Curious to see what incentives will be included since we paid full price for a brand new vehicle that we won't be able to drive until it's 8 months old. If anyone has more information on this or knows any loopholes in the legal system to get more money back we'd really appreciate it. We're also expecting our 4th baby in November. Timing is awful.

I would think you could always renegotiate in November since you haven't actually purchased the vehicle yet.

Ordered mine 4-10 gravity gray, sx , prestige, all options except towing and it will be at the dealership 7-9 . Maybe its the towing. I know gravity gray and prestige was an issue, that's for sure..

That’s when I ordered mine and was told delivery will be August 7. I didn’t have towing, which I think will make your longer.
I agree with the other post, the dealers are upset too and don’t have updates from Kia. I bet your dealer is avoiding due to not having answers.
As frustrating as it is, not much you can do until the factory sends your dealer info that you’re is going to be built.

It's the prestige package. I've read alot on here and everyone having major issues is waiting on the prestige package. What a HORRIBLE job by Kia. The vehicle was introduced too soon trying beat competitors to market.

I ordered an SX without prestige the 1st week in June. Got a VIN in 2 weeks with an ETA of July 23. I only mention this because I too was hunting for an SXprestige but gave up quickly after seeing the log jam and production delays. Nothing on the prestige was a deal breaker for me. Anyone in that boat, I recommend just going with the SX if it works for you. Just my opinion. Good luck!

I got my Prestige package in 59 days - I think some of the earlier orders are waiting but I am not convinced that the dealers placed an order for people who don't have an order #. I think KIA is doing fine considering the excitement over this new model.

Good for you that you got your vehicle in such a short time, but KIA is definitely not doing fine. This type of wait (even your relatively paltry 60 day wait) for a new vehicle at this price point is unheard of. Bummer. I'm in the same boat right now. I ordered mine on 4/24 and my salesman reaches out every few weeks to tell me no news. We initially though 90 days, but he told me earlier this week that's out the window. I'm starting to work on my plan B car list now.

Fair enough. And I know the wait is awful. I had a different experience - I had pretty steady communication and I was told up front that it may be 10-12 weeks. I understand the manufacturing process and challenges and don't believe the company as a whole is being irresponsible. To have the foresight to know what a big hit this was gonna be - maybe they should have realized and had more accountability with vendors. I just don't think they have done a HORRIBLE job.

Is that 59 days from your order with the dealer or 59 days from the build date that you got from the dealer?
