mine also AWD.....perhaps they are producing in batches of colors and you ordered wrong!!!!!

Do you mean Moss Butterscotch. Dune only comes in the SXP. I am unsure how you were given a delivery date of Aug 29th already. I ordered Moss Butterscotch AWD on 05/19 (or around there) and it has yet to be accepted.

sorry you are correct re searching color......perhaps certain dealers and or region get preference based on historical volume

Some dealers do get more vehicles. The process usually goes like this (by usually I mean 100 percent unless the dealership already has the car coming in with a vin), you put your order in, a number of weeks later the order is accepted. After it is accepted a number of weeks later you get assigned a VIN. Then sometime after that you get an ETA for delivery. On an SX or SXP this has traditionally been a 10-16 week process with it normally being on the later side. My guess is the dealer gave you an arbitrary estimated date. Without a VIN the dealer would not have an ETA. I hope it comes that quick, the wait sucks. My wife thinks every Telluride commercial that is played on TV is just to torment me, and it’s going to be her car not mine. Also not trying to be a killjoy. With some dealers being shady just trying to make sure they are not selling you a line of bull.

Took me 96 days to get my Blk Cop AWD SXP Brown dune with towing. It will get to you and try and enjoy the wait like a child waiting on Christmas for when it arrives its like the high your own waiting is over and to tell the truth it is a little let down because the day has come. But I can't tell you any rhyme or reason on how orders are done at KIA plant.

I was told the main reason for my wait was the Brown Dune leather and towing for when I ordered mine on March 21 I was told 6 to 8 weeks. the factory ran short on nappa leather trims and towing parts. So I know your wait for I thought I was looking at 6 to 8 weeks and ended up being over 3 months. But the blessing of this wait was a good one for I checked in here on the forum daily and so much info was here from owners and I feel like , in fact I knew more about the car that I would have. Also you will see what problems others are having so you will stay on those items more. Just check in here and read and you also will make some new friends along the way. And once your ride comes in I have experienced a let down for all the excitement waiting on the car. Don't get me wrong I love the way it looks and drives everything about it, just not the same as the wait is getting it. Enjoy the wait and it will make the arrival that much more exciting. I hope you get your quick and be safe
Good luck also on the Palisade. My dealer here has an active list of 76 people waiting to buy one..... Hyundai shows 6 in transit.
Hopefully your dealer doesn't have a wait list....

I think my husband was near divorce over this car ... he said I was acting like a child.
I tried to order same color combo with tow/AWD on 4/23. Was told by dealer that the butterscotch was not available at that time to order. Went with the espresso. Vehicle showed up 7/3. Love it!!
Was it the constant ETA comparisons with others here or the daily drive by the dealer lot?

I placed order first week of April and finally got confirmation order accepted the week in May they stopped taking orders. Was told 60 days ETA but that has came and went with no idea on when this will be in. Anyone have any idea on if they are working on certain trims first or dealerships will just get these orders randomly. I am currently leasing and not up until end Oct so want to hope it will be here by then but worried Kia will not guarantee all these back orders.

Today i became an official Telluride defector. I put a deposit on the Palisade Limited. After 3 months of waiting to wait another who knows how many more months i finally gave in to the ability to see a car at a dealer, negotiate a monthly lease cost and say, "that's mine". There's no difference between a Palisade Limited and Telluride SX Prestige, epxcept that Palisade Limited actually exist and Telluride SX Prestiges don't.
We've given up on the Telluride XS. 3.5 months with no end in sight isn't fun any more. We leased a Palisade Limited. It was a little more expensive than the Telluride, but at least it actually exists and has everything the Telly has plus more. I hope all who are waiting for the Telluride are very happy very soon.
