No Hyperflash? They blink normally?

FYI. I upgraded my front bulbs to these Lasfits for a total of 72watts (instead of 60watts) and they're fantastic:

Also, I decided to take the desiccant out (even though they fit with the bulb in...I was worried about having enough room in there for the fan to cool properly.
100% normal, no issues when I bought them at all.

I would also put the back back in the headlight. I had the same headlights before I changed to the SX assembly, but would recommend keeping the packs in there.

Just completed LED upgrades across all the lights on my S Trim and confirmed that it all functions without error codes and hyperflash.

tl;dr
- Front lights changed includes 1) Headlamps, 2) Turn Signal, 3) Side Marker
- Rear lights changed includes: 4) License Plate, 5) Back Up / Reverse, 6) Tail, 7) Brakes, 8) Side Marker, 9) Rear Turn Signal
- Total cost was just over $200, and about 2 to 2.5 hours of work (excluding failure to find the right bulbs)
- On hindsight, I would have not done the side markers (little visual difference) and the rear turn signal (really difficult to install)

Thought I'd document my entire journey here to make it easy for others who might want to embark on a similar journey. Each section includes:
a) LED Bulb Purchased + Cost
b) Ease of Installation
c) Installation Guide
d) My Personal Take
e) Before / After Image

----------------------

1. Headlamps
a) LED Used: 9005 LASFIT headlights from Amazon ($54.99)
b) Ease of Installation: 5-10 mins
c) Installation Guide: LASFIT YouTube
d) Hot Take: No issue with hyperflash or error codes, would def start with this install as it gives the greatest bang for your buck (visually and ease of installation)
e) Left - Original Halogen, Right - LED

2. Front Turn Signal
a) LED Used: 1157-A Everbright from Amazon ($16.99); H/T: Cacalon on this forum
b) Ease of Installation: 10-15 mins
c) Installation Guide: LASFIT YouTube
d) Hot Take: Use an adjustable wrench to get leverage to twist out the housing
e) Left - Original Halogen, Right - LED

3. Front Side Marker
a) LED Used: 194 LASFIT from Amazon ($10.94)
b) Ease of Installation: 10-15 mins
c) Installation Guide: H/T Jazzyone
d) Hot Take: Lowest bang for the buck with very limited visual difference (hence the lack of photos)

4. License Plate
a) LED Used: 194 LASFIT from Amazon ($8.89)
b) Ease of Installation: 5 mins
c) Installation Guide: LASFIT YouTube
d) Hot Take: Easiest installation
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

5. Backup / Reverse
a) LED Used: 912 Auxito from Amazon ($13.99)
b) Ease of Installation: 20-25 mins
c) Installation Guide: LASFIT YouTube
d) Hot Take: It looks more intimidating than it actually is. The visual difference does justify the work required, imo
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

6. Tail
a) LED Used: 1157-R 2 sets of Oxilam on Amazon ($16.99 per set)
b) Ease of Installation: 10-15 mins
c) Installation Guide: H/T itsal
d) Hot Take: Tail lights were easy to change out as part of the "Tail Lamp Assembly" that includes the next 2 lights (Brake and Rear Marker).
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

View attachment 13014

7. Brake
a) LED Used: 1157-R LASFIT on Amazon ($45.95); Tried ~10 different bulbs on Amazon in the <$20 price range and every single one of them triggered an error code. LEDs tested and failed includes: Oxilam (linked above), 1797, Vehicode, Alla, Phinlion, Auxlight, Auxito, iBrightstar, Luyed, Katur)
b) Ease of Installation: (included in Tail lamp install); Caveat that finding a bulb that worked without triggering error codes was the single most difficult part of replacing this light and took me a full month of back and forth.
c) Installation Guide: H/T itsal
d) Hot Take: Invest in a CANBUS / Error Free bulb as this was the most problematic bulb by far. Luckily this was by far the easiest bulb to swap in and out to test!
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

8. Rear Marker
a) LED Used: 194 LASFIT on Amazon ($10.94)
b) Ease of Installation: (included in Tail lamp install)
c) Installation Guide: H/T itsal
d) Hot Take: Similar to Front Marker, the visual difference is minimal and you'd be swapping out for completeness sake, not for any actual benefits.

9. Rear Turn Signal
a) LED Used: 1157-R Oxilam on Amazon ($16.99)
b) Ease of Installation: 45-60 mins. By far the most difficult to switch out.
c) Installation Guide: H/T firedawg
d) Hot Take: This was REALLY difficult to install and had to be done almost entirely by touch and feel. The screws you have to remove to access the driver side lights are really difficult to remove. I personally would not have done it if not for the time I had already invested and my OCD to complete the project. Use a adjustable wrench to get some leverage to turn the housing, and leave this for last to get familiar with how to install 1157 bulbs by practicing on the other bulbs. I'd also consider installing each bulb in a separate session to avoid driving yourself crazy!
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

Outstanding post, informative, detailed and perfect pictures.
Thanks

Did you experience issues without them?

No, but throughout the forum and just the purpose of them, at seemed better to have them here. I do not think they bulbs will get so hot that taking the packs out will cool them quicker, but that was just my personal opinion of not wanting to remove anything from the assembly itself.

If my headlights get moisture inside, I'll put them back in.

any recommendations on turn signal bulbs for the front as the ones listed are unavailable and according to the YouTube video they say not to buy them as they hyperflash

Thank you for posting, I have had the same issue. When I couldn’t get the bulbs suggested at the beginning of this thread on Amazon, I tried looking at Lasfit but they don’t recommend any for the Telluride (other postings have hinted otherwise but I am not sure which exact bulb works).

Out of desperation I ordered Auxito 1157 amber bulbs on eBay as they advertised no hyper flash. No such luck upon install.

Anyone who has had success upgrading front turn signals to LED, thanks for sharing!

Do the lites on the 22 SX look this good?

These ones I got from Amazon work. I just installed, no hyper flashing or errors on the dash. I kept the turn signal on for 30 seconds without any issue. They are a little bit pricier, but at least they work and you don't have to wait forever to get them from China.

I also had issues with the initial post's recommended Oxilam bulbs for the rear turn signals. I was having hyper flash with them for whatever reason (maybe bad bulbs?). Anyways, these were eventually successful for me:

Will try the front turn signals, thanks for the tip!

These hyperflashed for me
Hey. Sorry to hear that. I’ve had them in since then and have driven everyday since without any issue. No hyperflash or bulb out errors. I have a 22 with led for front and rear turn signals if that makes a difference.

So I got the Lasfit bulbs. To be honest. It looks like crap. Is there a method to installing them. I read about how to position the bulbs inside - 6 and 12 and 3 and 9. Any help would be great. Thanks.DC469CBE-5D5E-493D-B4DA-EE30E522918C.jpeg

I found it weird that after I installed them they would move around to the point they seemed like I did not install them correctly. So I decided to pull them out and the white locking ring stayed inside and out came the LED light bulb by itself. Had to take my time to remove the white locking collard which eventually it came out after I struggled a little. Patience is virtue they say. I was dumb founded played with them a bit and I noticed you have to screw in the white locking ring into the LED light bulb until the white locking collar doesn’t rotate anymore before you try and install them inside the headlight. That way when you do install it the same way the original light bulb came out (quarter turn). It will lock into place and no longer feels loose. Hope it helps others if you still have this issue of them feeling loose.
I found this out also though, of the 2 sets that were sent to me, only 1 of the 4 bulbs worked. I’m sending them all back and regrouping.

The Lastfit bulbs for the lisence plates are way too bright. Maybe because my car is white but it sure doesn’t need to be that bright.

Ordered the LASFIT 9005 HB3 and I attempted to install them on my 2022 lx and they would not fit. Upon further inspection the pin connectors on the led did not match with the stock bulb. The stock bulb connectors seem to have more of a taper. Any one else have this issue. Could it be only with the 22 models?

Yes. I have an EX. I got one of 4 to work. Lasfit sent a second batch since the first batch wasn’t working. I turned them in both directions, on both sides, and still only one ever lit up.
I sent them back. The Lasfit customer service guy feels they are not compatible with the 2022 model.

Wow. I was thinking maybe it was just faulty ones I received but thanks for your reply. So based on your experience, its safe to say these wouldn’t work for the 2022 models?

My experience just doesn’t trust them until I get further information, but this is the quote from Lasfit:
“It seems that our bulbs are not compatible with your 2022 Kia Telluride, please return to the below address:”
If I can keep my patience for 5 months while my car was built, I guess can wait until I find a truly compatible bulb, or Lasfit updates theirs for ‘22 models.
