  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Dealer Markup

I am thinking of ordering with Hendricks from out of state - you think all went well? No last minute mark-ups or surprises?
I'm kindofvrethinking my endorsement. The saleswoman is quick with an attitude. She often ignores emails until I call the GM. I assume she thinks I don't have the balls to contact GM. Last time she ignored important emails until I told her I was contacting GM. The important emails were in regards to her lease rates being fubar. Off by $50 month. When I proved her rates were off she just said it was an accounting error in residual value for a lease. I honestly do believe it was a mistake. Now she is ignoring emails on a warranty issue. There is a salesperson there named Mitch who wasn't even my sales person that has been more helpful than she has. If your looking to get wined & dined, Hendricks isn't the place. If you can put up with their bullsh-t, you can save some money.

Yup. Purchased last summer at msrp. "Mr. Hendrick never sells his vehicles over msrp" I was told. At the time they refused to provide KIA financing rates and there weren't any services or packages I was forced to buy, so it was at msrp plus dealer fee. Due to my experience with the SM and finance guy however, I refinanced a week later. Got the right price, experience was just terrible tho.

All the dealers in the SF Bay Area and LA Area are charging anywhere between $2k - $6k mark up above the MSRP. I called a dealer in Houston, TX and they are not doing that. CA is the only state that it is charging extra for this car. I guess is the law of supply and demand.
AZ dealers are charging up to $10K!

Bumping this thread - originally they thought it was a sensor issue but it was misdiagnosed once I brought the vehicle back for a 2nd round at the dealership. Been driving a loaner almost 2.5 weeks...

Parts come in tomorrow and will be replaced same day at KIA's dime.
