However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Dealer Markup

So the $1000+ for destination charge would cover delivery from Muncie to Sacramento CA?

Jason,

New member of the forum here based in NJ. If I order from you, do I have to fly to Indiana to pick up the car? And what is the estimated wait?

You can fly or we can ship. Join the NJ club. I'd say 4-6 months if you want a SX-P

Okay thanks Jason. Local dealer here was saying 10 weeks wait for an SX-P, but with an asking price of 49,700. I assume you are still going at MSRP with costco pricing?

I will reach out to you for details. Is jfox@kiaofmuncie.com the best way to reach you?

This is why we have a demo on hand. Everything was sold coming in. We needed something people could drive and experience.
So did Muncie just buy one, knowing that it was going to get miles racked up, with the hope to sell it once the market calms down? Just curious. Y'all rock.

We are below MSRP with Costco. Yes, email me.

You are gonna love this one (from Ed Voyles KIA of Chamblee, GA).
A dealer quote of $583/month $3,500 down/12,000 miles/year MSRP: $42,795 (SX FWD Non-Prestige).
KIA Calculator, same terms: $462.
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dealer response:

"The Kia website lease calculator is wrong."
"It’s been a problem since they updated it last month."
"We’ve asked them to fix it. They say if the customer wants the correct quote to see the dealer."
"I think there’s a disclaimer on the sight that says something to that effect."

I CALL B.S.!

***CAN another dealer on here run the #'s and tell me if these guys are out to lunch or not?***

The $583 poly includes all fees, tag, taxes... etc all rolled in. The KIA website includes none of that.

Sorry, I disagree. The KIA Payment Calculator INCLUDES $2,445 in ADDITIONAL fees which would cover "fees" & tags ($2445 a lot for fees and tag). PLUS tax which would be $1560. Still WAY OFF!

The Kia lease calculator does NOT include sales taxes and fees. Just learn how to calculate a lease and you'll understand differences between dealer quote and Kia online calculator. The Kia online calculator will always be lower, because it assumes you pay taxes and fees up front - not as part of the down payment.

Exactly, there are 50 states, each with a different tax rate and different fee schedules, etc... KIA calculator is just a general guideline which will ALWAYS be lower than real life.

People see $350/mo on BMWUSA.COM for a stripper 2 Series and they think wow that's a good price. LETS GO! But when they sit down to do the deal it will be closer to $550/mo.

FEES ARE included in the KIA online Payment Calculator. Understand about the tax not being included. I understand very well how to calculate a lease so please don't assume that I don't. I have been leasing vehicles since 1984. And I have used various tools available to calculate lease prices.

Live in NJ - ordered what I wanted, hassle-free from Kia of Muncie. Got a fair deal - 4-6 month clock ticking....
We Thank You!

That's a new screenshot - so they must have added some fees to a new calculator. I had only seen the one on the KMF site - which doesn't include any fees! Sorry, I stand corrected. My point about calculating a lease was simply that online lease calculators aren't necessary if you know how to calculate a lease correctly, which you do. I suppose that by comparing with dealer, you could back out the implied money factor from KMF lease and dealer quotes - which is where the difference would be if fees are included. Simply stating their cap cost, residual, etc

Being in Georgia, y'all have a leasing advantage that we don't have in Texas... as we pay sales tax up front.

No intention to get you riled up - frustrating enough trying to buy a Telluride. :)
