Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

I had an excellent experience at Lev Kia in Framingham, MA. I worked with Ken Russian. They ordered my Ebony Black SX NF. Estimated time was 20 weeks and it came in 8 weeks. This probably doesn't have much to do with the dealership though. Very low pressure from Ken. I Paid MSRP. Doc fee is $395.

Congratulations! What interior? Pictures?

Another good rating on Lev and for Ken. I am hoping that the delivery on SX-P (NON Nightfall) versions picks up a little and those of us waiting can see ours as well.

Excellent experience with Jed at Jim Shorkey KIA in Irwin, PA. Coming from MD, they were upfront and honest with the pricing, sold it at MSRP and had me in and out very quickly! Highly recommend them!

Had a great experience with Mike Cross at Bill Byrd Kia in Panama City, Florida. Ordered a Nightfall Everlasting Silver SXP with tow on Aug 11th at MSRP with a $1000 deposit. The deposit was non-refundable, but he assured me they would consider COVID-related extenuating circumstances as an exception. Also, since I wrote a check, he just put it in my file for holding and they never deposited it. Was told 4-6 months, which I was expecting.

Thanks to the Kia gods, my car came in on Sept 24th. Even Mike was shocked, and it was a true order, not a factory allocation. I didn't get the bumper protector that I ordered, and did get the carpets that I didn't want, but that was on the factory, not the dealer.

I was nervous going in to pick it up, because I have read the horror stories on here about surprise mark-ups at delivery, but had zero issues. The finance guy of course tried to sell me some extra dealer services, but that's his job and he didn't push too hard after I declined. Drove away in my new car after paying MSRP minus hubby's military discount.

Mike's a straightshooter, won't bullsh*t you, and made the buying process fun. Highly recommend him.

This is for all of you MD, DC and NOVA buyers frustrated with the shady dealerships in that area. Parsons Kia in Winchester, VA approx. 2 hrs from DC. Nice small very friendly dealership selling at MSRP. I don't know about wait times though since they may not receive the number of allocations the larger dealerships do. I do know that as of today they still have an SX+T in Gravity Grey w/Grey at MSRP on the lot.

I’ve not ordered yet but I’m close. Ask for Matt Herman.

I have to give a shot out to Ivy Johnson at Hendrick Kia of Cary, NC. I live in northern VA and when I started my search at the beginning of July. I eventually found this forum where someone mentioned 2hrs away in MD was Jones Kia in Bel Air selling at MSRP (They had a 2k premium added onto the SXP by the time I was ready to order) but this is where I got to test drive the Telluride and was then hooked but not quite ready to pull the trigger as I didn't know much about the ordering process at that time. I could not find one dealership in the DMV(DC, Maryland, VA) close to me that had any on the lot to test or even sold without a 5K to 15K markup. Hendrick Kia of Cary was mentioned on a thread as good. Im from NC and travel there often so figured I would try. Called and spoke with Ivy. She was nice, professional and honest. She assured me that they never marked up their vehicles and that if I had patience that in about 4-6mths I would have my vehicle. I ordered an Ebony SXP w/ Nightfall on July 28th. I continued to look for dealers that sold at MSRP and reached out whenever they had an SXP show up on failcat that matched. I also started to become impatient waiting too.

On 8/28 I was rear ended and reached out to Ivy on 9/18 to see if there was any news on my ride as I may need a vehicle a lot sooner. She offered me an S trim that was coming in the following week and that when my order came in I could trade it in and would not have to pay taxes, etc again. I thought that was way cool but passed. On 9/22 she reached out to say that they had an incoming SXP in Black Copper with no Nightfall. I said Yes! The car came in on the 23rd and I picked it up on the 25th. Easiest car buying experience ever! I had financing from my credit union and a check in hand. The finance mgr did the customary warranties pitch but once I said no we signed off and that was it. Paid MSRP + $699 dealer fee. I can live with that! I actually don't miss the Nightfall at all. Ivy has even followed up to make sure all is well. Had to pick her - Isis, up in the rain. I will post better pics when I get it cleaned up and ceramic coated.

I purchased mine at Dutch Miller Kia in Charlotte, NC. I looked at other Kia dealers in the area, but DM had the one I wanted and they were great to work with.

I almost bought this one! I have an order in with Hendrick as well. They called me and told me they had this available, but I passed. Good luck!

WOW! 🤣😁 I'm glad I got it. I think I'm going to get a chrome delete later.

I'm working with Ken and trying to be patient. Placed an order in June for a White SXP (whether it was GWP or SWP) pre production and still waiting on any kind of ETA. Lease is up in 4 weeks and getting nervous!

I join with the long list of Muncie Indiana KIA fans in thanking Jason and Lucas for their outstanding service to Telluride customers. Service like that provided by these guys is needed in so many places within the auto sales arena and public sales in so many other areas. You know you are dealing with honest people when you are in contact with them. I chatted with many other dealers in pursuit of our Telluride. All too many could have used a giant dose of "Muncie"!

I also had a fantastic encounter with Auto Express KIA of Erie, PA. Salesman Kyle Carmosino and Finance mgr Regina Toombs were as forthright, honest and accommodating as Muncie KIA. I would never hesitate recommending Kyle or Regina to anyone searching in the Erie area. Thanks guys for an outstanding experience.

I strongly suspect the owners of Muncie and Auto Express may have gone to the same school of management and public relations!!
I'm a little late to the thread, but I put my order in with Chris at Auto Express in Erie, PA a few weeks ago. I live in Pittsburgh, PA, but I'm originally from Erie. I'm glad to hear that Auto Express treated you right. I have a few months to wait for mine to come in, but this makes the wait a little easier.

Just got our 2021 Telluride in SX with Prestige package yesterday! As others have noted - if your in the Bay Area, you want to go to Hilltop Kia in Richmond. Contact Lewis Belt or Carlos Orozco. They sell at MSRP and do not markup their Tellurides. Tell them David Ly sent ya!!

I got my 2021 SXP Black Copper with Dune Brown and tow package through Chris Tate at Young Blood Kia in Springfield MO just two days ago. The buying process from the start to delivery has been nothing short of amazing. Chris is very honest, and professional. My Telly is fully loaded except for the factory didn't install the rear bumper protector, and I chose not to get the step bars.
My vehicle got delivered to their dealership 3 weeks ago, they did not pressure me to pick it up, even though it took me some time to get financing through my credit union and send them the paperwork. Chris communicated with me throughout and made sure I get vehicle updates as it was being built. He got my car shipped within a day. I am very happy with his work ethic and customer service, and highly recommending ordering your Telluride through him.

I purchased my 2021 SX-P from Ron Felix over at Fuccillo KIA of Greece about 20 minutes west of Rochester, NY. The whole process from start to finish was exactly what I was hoping it would be, and I highly recommend both Ron & Fuccillo KIA. MSRP is their policy and the only add-on they recommended was the 10 year/100K extended warranty @$1,715 and they didn't push too hard (nor did they have to). Ron kept me updated via text/email as we waited for it to arrive, and texted pictures as soon as the truck pulled in, including a pic of the odometer of which he came in on his day off to do. He assured me that the vehicle would not be shown to the public and would be kept hidden in the back. He also came in on his day off to complete the sale on the day that I flew into Rochester, and also texted me a pre-paid Uber ride to bring me to the dealership from the airport. Honestly I couldn't ask for anything more, they even had this cool delivery room that was private from the rest of the dealership and I had as long as I needed to inspect the vehicle before I even saw paperwork on it. Huge.jpgNone of it felt rushed, and even their coronavirus protocols were impressive as they cleaned my drivers license/credit card/keyfobs before handing them back. I'm kinda bummed I live 6 hours away from them as I would love to use them for any future service needs, but if you go there please tell them I sent you 😊

Even though I did not end up buying my Telly through them I would recommend Bill Dodge in Saco Maine. They are legitimately the only ones in all New England who do not mark up their Tellys, selling at MSRP and they are happy to market that. Only problem is they get only a handful in at a time and they will not order specifically for you, you can only chose from current or incoming inventory. I ended up buying locally through Autoserv in Tilton NH and they were real close on price to Bill Dodge, but about 100 miles closer to me. They did mark up all their Tellys flat rate $2,500 above MSRP which is half what all the other dealers are marking up in New England except Bill Dodge.

If you are in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex I highly recommend Monica at Huffines KIA in McKinney and I would also highly recommend Maritz KIA in Hurst. I had great experiences with both and ultimately purchase from Moritz due to trade value. If you are looking for a starting point I would also highly recommend looking at Dealerrater.com as there is good information there on how others rate their dealership experience and its one of the tools I used to start conversations with specific dealers in an effort to avoid the bad experiences from the get go.
who did you work with at Maritz? I read the dealer ratings and considering going there. favorite person?

Just an FYI - After soft searching for the EX in nightfall for about a month and refusing to pay above MSRP - last week and this week a few of the dealers called to try and sell the car to us at MSRP. I am in the NYC area and Liberty Kia in NJ, Jack Daniels Kia in NJ, (apparently for one day only for a flash sale! haha), and also Island Kia in Staten island are selling them at msrp. We ended up going with Island KIA . The other dealers that called were "come in, my sales manager agreed to sell this at msrp. we will talk about full pricing when you get here" and we weren't trying to play that game - just asked them for final pricing and they kept dancing around the issue.

Might just be anecdotal that we got consecutive calls for them at MSRP, or the tides are changing and dealers are trying to get these off the lot (For both of these dealers, it was the same car that we previously saw on the website).

I'm fairly new to the board but have lurking for a little bit over the past couple of weeks. Not really looking forward to the new car buying process based on some initial interaction with dealerships in my area. I have read the positive reviews for Muncie Kia so I decided to send Lucas an email last but haven't heard back quite yet. For those who have worked with him and Muncie before, is it best to call them or is he pretty good about getting back via email?

Lucas is great, he always answers his emails, or phone calls. We have been dealing with him since May, and have never gone more than a day without hearing from him answering any questions we have, usually it's within a few minutes.
