Latest info on ordering through KFOS

@StephenCantrelle would you be able to provide some insight?

If it is KFOS, how long should I expect to wait for the order to get "picked up" and a more specific ETA?

If entered into KFOS you usually get an ETA within a week. For example everyone who went in last week should have the initial ETA as of yesterday

Can one of the dealers here tell me if this is a screenshot from KFOS? According to my sales person, my order was put into KFOS last Thursday (6/16/2020) but they said it hasn't been "picked up" yet and there isn't a specific ETA. They said they have one order ahead of mine. I'm just curious if I've landed one of their allocations this month or if my order is just in their queue.

The very first column that shows a zero... that should be a one if it is for sure 100% this month... if the Priority is zero(Priority is first column) and the second box is checked that means you are a supplemental order...

Supplemental order means if Kia can make it and assign it to dealer they will but not necessarily guaranteed..

So if you don't fill this month you should be at the top of the list for next month.

Thanks @StephenCantrelle for your insight.

I actually just got an update from the dealer with a screenshot of their KFOS Commitment Report showing my order with VIN/ID # and ETA of 10/22/2020.

October can't come soon enough!

Great news! one step closer to the prize!

Does this mean Kdealer and KFOS are open for 2021 orders (SX, specifically)? I've been searching and haven't seen it mentioned yet on the forums.

I can't speak for all dealers but it seems my dealer as well as some others' on the forum were able to submit SX orders in KFOS last week. I would say that you should reach out to your dealer.

Are dealers still only allowed to submit orders in a specific window (15th-17th) of every month?

so is KFOS still only available to put orders in once a month from 15-17th? we just put a deposit down yesterday on a new SX-P + Nightfall + Tow and this was never mentioned.

My dealer stated that they could order LX, S, EX-P AWD NE & SX-P AWD NE.

I was going to right this earlier, then halted - a lot of misinformation makes things worse. I can’t confirm any of that, but this is what I was told.

@StephenCantrelle Is KFOS still only available to put orders in 15th-17th of every month? Or has that changed? Thanks

KFOS is still open only mid month.. Kdealer is now live for all trims like normal pre Covid.

Dealerships can now officially place order for any trim and level in Kdealer and put you in queue.

Once dealerships receives their monthly allocation through KFOS they can transfer those at the top of the queue in Kdealer to KFOS to get filled.

Great news for all those waiting to place an order. Now if mine would just get built ;)

Hi everyone, I'm currently torn between ordering and waiting, or going through the pain of hunting down a unicorn. The impatient part of me wants to hunt, but so far I'm batting zero (searching east coast from VA to ME). I had seen on here that orders were taking about 6 months to fill. Is that still the case, or are things expected to move faster now (as long as nothing interferes)?

My recommendation is to do both. This ensures you will get one eventually. And whatever pans out first gets you your Telly quicker.

I can’t tell you how helpful you have been to me and others in this forum. This particular thread needs to be pinned because it takes out the anxiety of not knowing how the process works. This way folks wanting the Telluride can manage realistic expectations. Thank you so much and continue your informative posts. 👍👍

Agree, I’ve come back to this thread a number of times now to read up on it again.
