My best laid plans to bypass the Telluride once it arrived and mess with the dealership before asking for a refund were thwarted by an older car that I was working on to correct a few shortcomings. I ran into an unexpected repair that will require a more expensive fix than expected and a delay while looking for a part that is now hard to find. Last week I got an email from the salesperson telling me my car had arrived in town and would be ready to purchase as soon as it got transferred to the dealership. Couple of notes to interject here first this is the absolute first time I have been contacted by the dealer on any status other than to call me and tell me “your order is cancelled” back in May and I never got a notification when they reordered in July as they promised. I have not been impressed by how either KIA or the dealer has handled this and if anyone here has read my posts will know how my enthusiasm had vanished. The email was completely unexpected as the ETA I finally got was November 11, so no way was this going to be here that soon but I was wrong it actually came almost 2 weeks prior to the ETA. Bottom line is I took the plunged after being urged by my wife to get a car that I could rely on. Picked up the GWP AWD P/T Dune Brown SX on Friday and am ultimately happy I did because it is all the great looking and full featured SUV that has caused all the craziness.

Sorry to hear that you are still waiting. I thought that I was one of the last if not the last from those early orders/2020 MY to 2021 MY roll overs/July allocations to get to the dealer. Hope yours arrives like mine did, a couple weeks earlier than the last ETA.

Thanks for the sentiments I am sure I will enjoy, it as much as I anticipated at the start of this process when I first drove one shortly after it first hit the dealers in March 2019! Eighteen months from first drive to ownership.

You may think you're seeing spots on the bottom half of the wheels, it's actually the reflection of the concrete on the shiny surface

You may think you're seeing spots on the bottom half of the wheels, it's actually the reflection of the concrete on the shiny surface

Curious how many folks in here are waiting on August Allocations. It appears KIA has finally worked out the NFP and SXP production mix. The production of SXP and SX for that matter this past month really pushed up the average transaction price for KIA. They are headed for a banner year of Telluride production despite the COVID shut down. I'm curious from the dealers how their wait times for SXP's are looking. @StephenCantrelle

Nice! We are picking ours up on Friday from Luther Kia. Did you have them do your PPF and Ceramic Coating or take it to somewhere else? Thank you!

Sorry - just saw your later post. I did contact Midwest Clear Bra for a quote. Nice to know that they do a good job!
