OK, Thanks didn't know what topic to ask.You can't go wrong following what's recommended on your owners manual.
There are a few threads about oil changes here already. Here's one of them
Well, that's not per the manual.I just did mine at 10k
I agree that with today's synthetic oil formulation that it is overkill, however why would you forego the owner's manual and risk having a major issue that then gets denied because you didn't follow the manufacturer's recommendations? To me, changing the oil at 7,500 miles, per the manual, is cheap insurance. I'd rather not give them a reason.I have always done 10k intervals on all my modern cars since 2000, never had a problem. Yes of course you can do 7k or 3k or 200, but it’s not necessary, why throw your money away?
Thanks everyone 7,500K will be my first oil change. I had a 2017 Ford Fusion before my Telluride and there oil changes was 5K.I agree that with today's synthetic oil formulation that it is overkill, however why would you forego the owner's manual and risk having a major issue that then gets denied because you didn't follow the manufacturer's recommendations? Agree, I have been using mobile one synthetic in my 2002 Gmc envoy since new doesn't burn a drop or leak a drop. 185,000 miles change oil at 5000 intervals. 2010 tundra 140,000 miles same story, but trueIF.....you can afford it, do the first change at 2 or 3 thousand miles with Mobil 1 full synthetic..cleans out the break in residue....then, continue to use Mobil 1 at 5K or 7500 intervals. If you can do this, no matter what vehicle you own, the protection for your engine is the best that you can do!! Just my opinion based upon 30 new cars in the past 51 years.

Husker Soze, Last i checked the weather in south Carolina showing 45 F so i m not sure if that consider severe conditions..I’m thinking you should be good until you get back. Unless you drive under the “severe conditions” category as described in the manual... then I’d change the oil before the trip.
+1
