What trim did you order?I actually just put a deposit on another Telly all the way in PA. ETA is June 17th. Which most certainly will be sooner than the one I have on order.
Holy crap 8 months??I ordered back in November, SX AWD Pre and 2 weeks ago got an ETA of June 6th and just yesterday changed to June 8th
Is it incoming stock? Were they dealing at MSRP or at least close to?SX-P NFE
Word to the wise-make sure you get confirmation of the window sticker prior to selling your car. We ordered in Jan, had a confirmed eta early May. Sold our car prior to picking up order.Timing will be an issue. But if I can line up my sale within a few days of the purchase, I will do that over trade in. So much uncertainty right now...
I have to say I got lucky and got my car last week! It’s worth the wait!!!!I too ordered mine on 4/26 and haven’t heard anything from the Dealership. They said they couldn’t determine now whether I’d be getting a 2021 or 2022, but they’re leaning now towards the 2022. I was told that I’m in that “hurry up and wait“ category because of the Dune Brown interior. They only gave me a model code of J4482 and the option group 47 because of the Dune Brown. I have no idea what they’re talking about because I ordered the Telluride SX in Glacial White Pearl, tow package, Dune Brown interior, the SX Prestige package with Nightfall, the tow package and carpeted floor mats. When I ordered it I was told it would take 12 to 16 weeks to come in and the higher quality packages come in sooner.
Is someone lying to me?I’m actually following you since we ordered on the same day.

The one I just put a deposit on is incoming that someone backed out of but I’m still getting it for MSRP after some haggling. Is it incoming stock? Were they dealing at MSRP or at least close to?
Did you order from Murray Kia in Conshohocken?I actually just put a deposit on another Telly all the way in PA. ETA is June 17th. Which most certainly will be sooner than the one I have on order.
No I originally ordered from a local dealer here in Georgia.Did you order from Murray Kia in Conshohocken?
Sure, but he does not know that I know that. To him I am a customer looking to purchase a $50k vehicle, with admittedly an expected wait time, whom should at least receive a check in once within 3 weeks.
I'm not asking much...I'm not trying to "pester" the sales man, I'm just looking for a little customer service and reassurance I'm not just a form he filled out and moved on from until the car arrives. Maybe that's too much to ask for or expect from my end, but I don't think so.
I know if I were a car salesman I would certainly reach out on a regular basis even if it was to say "Hey, no update, just wanted to reach out. Hang in there, I'll let you know something the minute I do." Other's may find that as asking for alot, I just see it as good customer service. After all, I am spending $50K with this place. If I get better customer service from a Wally World pickup order, something is wrong, no?
Bro, you're NOT asking for a lot--and your expectations are MORE than reasonable...for a $50k vehicle. KIA Motors has created one helluva truck--without question. We wouldn't all be "waiting in line" & following VIN's as they roll off the line if that weren't the case. That said: somebody, some WHERE needs to remind these folks that WE (their newly converted disciples) are the ones who'll be serving as their "proving ground"--driving around all of our friends, family members & colleagues going forward. Word of mouth & us showing off their product (IF and when we're ever able to actually procure one?!?) is what's gonna help them with this "brand overhaul"!Sure, but he does not know that I know that. Agree totally. My kids (ages 12-17) think we’re crazy for buying a Kia, because they are ‘junk’. I know the older generation may still think this way, because stigmas are hard to shake, but I was kind of surprised by the kids reaction. It’s going to take a while for Kia to change this perception. I believe that’s part of the reason behind the badge refresh.Bro, you're NOT asking for a lot--and your expectations are MORE than reasonable...for a $50k vehicle. Case in point?
My best friend is small town Doctor here in "the Hill Country" of Mississippi--always been a GM guy--who now drives an $80k Escalade (I mean, its a nice truck, but it ain't really "all that"). He's been watchin' me hunt like hell for this ride, listening to my complaints. His response?
..."You're jumping through all these hoops---so you can drop $50 Grand...on a F#$*ing KIA? Seriously? I mean, really dude--it's a....KIA!?!"
That is STILL the "stigma" that we're all trying to help them overcome. No matter how many "World's Greatest Vehicle EVER Built in the 21st Century" Awards & Accolades this little truck racks up...it's still gonna be on US (their consumers) to show it off--& prove that KIA truly HAS--stepped up their game!
So...no. You aren't asking for too much. A little courtesy call goes a LONG way. And if that guy is local, there in GA, there's no telling how many of your peeps woulda been running up there to him & paying WAAAY over MSRP to get one. So that's his loss (as I very much doubt you'll be sending them to him)...
Our kids (19 & 17) said something similar. Our response - "when it's your money you can buy what you want".Agree totally. My neighbor drives a white Stinger which is a real looker. If he switched the badges to the Klexus version, people would probably believe the car is some new exotic make.I drive a 2017 Kia Cadenza Limited. I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on this vehicle, or how surprised they are when they sit inside. "This is a Kia?"
I love it when when MB or BMW drivers see it and I go "You want to know the best part? I bought it with 30K miles on it and walked out the door at less than $20K with a 120K mile B2B Warranty and Gap after trading in a Ford Flex with 150K miles on it"
I say I don’t care about what folks say or think. All I know is anyone get in my truck they get back in there car it never feels the same! They either looking up how much it cost after m; looking to see if they would get one; or if it was a Kia they would get a Telluride would be it.....and then after time they gonna wanna get it or sell there car! That’s the Kia effect now! I’m living itMy neighbor drives a white Stinger which is a real looker.
