Order to delivery time

Your Dealer has nothing to do with this. Looks like GM Finance is running circles around you. You owe money to GM finance and not the dealer.

GM Finance is looking towards poaching your Acadia back so that they can sell it on higher price. You can buy it anytime before your lease ends as per your agreement. Talk tough with GM finance.

GM is very notorious. They have banned selling your leased vehicles to one of their rivals or online dealers from July-1, 2021.

yes did that. Actually the opposite GM wants their cars at their dealerships., according to them as of July 1. They basically told me to go to any GM dealer to "buy" it at the payoff amount. You can't just send a check to GM Finance. The dealership does the paperwork, but now you also need to add tax, title & reg. to the total because you are basically buying the car. So add $2k to the buyout price. (what I was told & I haven't had time to research this.) The dealership wants my car and made an offer to trade on my Telly. To buy it & then sell privately seems more of a hassle than just trading if they're willing to give me a decent price for it. They offered $28k & Carmax gave offer of $30,800 & I wish I had I done it before July 1 it would have been no problem. Sorry this is off topic now from the orig posts.

I’ve been going through the same thing with my Lincoln. Ultimately, I’d have pocketed $800 to buy it myself, then sell it (hoping the price held after waiting to get title from original dealership.). Just wasn’t worth my time and effort. I have to turn mine in next Tuesday, so hoping my Telluride gets here!!!
Good luck!

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.
Order/deposit placed with i25 Kia 7/14/21. Was just told today ETA 11/13/21.

Order & Deposit place with Kia West in Coquitlam BC for 22 white Nightsky- told yesterday it’s in transit to the dealership but no ETA given

For what it's worth, here's our timeline!
Placed original order on 2/27.
During the 2021-2022 crossover we decided to make a change to the order and up the trim level and change the color. Dealer confirmed he placed the new order on 6/7. At the same time, dealer confirmed that Kia picked up the original order for production and that it was scheduled to arrive at the dealership on 7/12. We weren't on the hook for anything, they presumably sold it on the lot.
Dealer gave us an update with this timeline on 8/9, and it showed up on Failcat a couple days after. Only about one more month of waiting!

I've been playing musical orders. Most recent order placed yesterday with Moritz Kia Hurst for an SXP. Quoted 8-12 weeks; expects it to be picked up by KFOS next month (I'll believe it when I see it).

Just arrived at the dealership! See order to delivery time in my signature:) View attachment 21764

This is the exact same one i ordered back on 7/22 -- and I already got a call that it's going to be ready for pick up on 9/18. So i'm wondering if there's not as much of a backlog on EX models? It does seem like 80% of the orders in Failcat are either SX or S. Herb Chambers in Burlington, MA says my car is 2-3 months ahead of others that were ordered at the same time.

I was originally told ETA was 9/7 which is only 19 days away. Nothing on Failcat yet. Asked dealer if ETA changed and they told me "pushed back a few days but still coming next month". Oh the wait....... Dealer did tell me that is usually takes 2 days to arrive once it ships.

can you extend your lease? I was told to do that up to 4-6 months you can extend but you have to call who you're financed thru to do that. At least for GM that is. You just continue the same payment but must stay within your miles allowed. Good Luck to you- I see you have an ETA, I don't have that yet.

That's what I ended up doing. My original lease on outback was expiring in June. I got 6 months extension on original terms including my right to buy it outright or sell to online dealers. Subaru uses chase motor finance and they were easy to work with.

Hoping to cash in around $7-8k by selling outback to carvana after I get my telly delivered from Colorado by early September. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Why payoff amount? Your car should really worth way more than payoff amount in open market.

I can, but I can go without a car for a couple of weeks if I have to. I just hope it comes in safe and sound!

We’re waiting on an EX also. But ETA 11/13, ordered 7/14.

You better not end up with my Telly! Our orders are almost identical… better not end up with my premium.
