Order to delivery time

If you don't mind me asking where are you located? That's a quick turn around from failcat to delivery.

My car popped on failcat on 3/5 . But I have an eta of 4/9. I'm up in PA. My guess is that your in the south, closer to the factory.

I'm in Illinois. But I also thought it was quick...so I'll believe it when I actually see it

I live in VA. Purchased mine 10/20/21 and haven't heard anything. Based on what i am reading its an additional 6 or so weeks once the order is actually picked up.

Just got word from my backup dealership that I am number 58 in line with about 7 pickups a month - so that puts me at about 8 months from now for pickup and probably 10 months total - so maybe a Christmas gift.

Apologies if this has been asked before (new to the site an a lot of comments!). The dealer has informed me that my order has been picked up on the KFOS site, however, no VIN or ETA has been given. Any idea on how long it typically takes for an order to get picked up on KFOS to getting a VIN and an ETA for deliver?

Also, the dealership sent a photo of the order in the KFOS system, does any know when a Priority of 001 has been assigned, what that means?

If it was picked up in this months KFOS, you will not get an ETA until after KFOS closes. A VIN is created when the vehicle goes into paint. Depending on your location, anywhere from 2-6 weeks before ETA.

I think this answers the question I was just about to ask! A dealer just called me to let me know an S with the specs I want is set to arrive April 2, but doesn't have a VIN yet. These guys aren't my favorite, lots of hard sell tactics, so I was skeptical, but it sounds like it could be legitimate since they can see it's picked up in KFOS but I can't see it on Failcat yet. Right? And I should be able to ask them to show me the specs in KFOS if I stop by? (I'm also really skeptical that it has the interior lights I want, but he said it does).

Question 1 - correct
Question 2 - they probably won't show it to you but will tell you the specs. You could as for a printout of the order and you can search this site to decipher the options.

Thank you! I did ask for a printout of the order and they refused (is there any legitimate reason not to show me some proof that this car exists?). They're pretty much annoying me right out of a sale, but I guess in this market that doesn't really matter.

Just wait for the VIN. They will have it before it shows up in failcat.

Relax. Continuing to think about it is like watching grass grow. It will just make it seem 10x longer.

what did the deal quote you for delivery? I was told 6 to 8 weeks.

I ordered one September 6th of last year and called dealer a month ago and salesman said should be any day back then but no further notice

So if an order was picked up by KFOs over a month ago, wouldn't the dealer have an ETA by now? The trim, color and options I chose were not unusual... gravity grey EX NTP. So far I am getting nada info except the order was picked before I first asked which was in early Feb.

New member - love this forum. I ordered an SX Limited in Canada on Dec 31, 2021 and was initially told May 2022. Just got word that it's been delayed until Oct 2022 ;-(. If there's a bright side to this, we are supposed to get a 2023 model now. Anyone know if this is typical for Canada or possibly a dealer issue? Pretty disappointed as we wanted it before summer. I wonder what's going to be different with the 2023 models?

I am in Columbus and ordered a EX from Germain Kia. My failcat was created 1/25. Salesman told me it was arriving 2/18 then 2/25 and now 4/1. When I googled my VIN, I see it now shows its on sale at Germain's website now... My current lease ends this Saturday so I really hope I get some clarity tomorrow. Been pretty annoyed with Germain about this.

That is frustrating. Mine is from Celebration Kia in Lewis Center. My salesman told me they can show up a little earlier than the projected ETA (once it’s finally shipped). Hope that scenario applies to the both of us..

New to the forum. Place an order with Munich Jan 18th. Decided to call Fowler about some Tellurides on their site. Of course they were all reserved, but low and behold an EX gravity grey with captain's chairs will arrive on the 25th of April unallocated. So I dropped my deposit and arranged for shipping once it hits the lot. I know it's not technically an order, but 5 weeks and pure luck is something I wanted to share.

That's awesome. Are they trying to charge for dealer add-ons? Because where I am at, dfw area, the dealers seem to use that as an opportunity to charge for add-ons

Surprisingly no. They do however have a 699 doc or dealer fee. Not sure which, but it was worth in my opinion. And I think they charge it to everyone that orders from this dealer.
