Order to delivery time

Order 8/12/2021. VIN in Failcat on 3/4/22. Latest ETA pushed out to 4/23/22. Won’t have to drive in Minnesota winter. Dealer quoted 6-10 months so it’ll be around 8.

Ordered mine (SX AWD Glacial White w/ tow pkg) 10/21/21. Two weeks ago ETA was 4/11/22. No VIN provided by dealer. Not in Failcat yet. Is that normal? I see other post once given an ETA VIN follows right behind. I hate to "bug" the dealer every other day.

I didn't get a VIN until about 3 weeks prior to my delivery date. I wouldn't fret until next week or so.

I don't mind if the ETA moves around as long as I have the VIN which means they are making the vehicle.

I just learned mine still has not been picked up by KFOS after almost 4 months of waiting and that it will be several more months before it is picked up.

Facts! The dealer is selling at MSRP but it’s just the miscommunication and lack of clear info that is really unsettling.

This is disappointing, I ordered a SX from Hendrick Kia in Cary on 11/5/2021. Was told it would take 20-24 weeks. Have only heard crickets since and nothing exists in failcat with my order spec. I’m bummed since it’s looking like we won’t have it for some planned vacations. Please post an update whenever you hear something, as you ordered 1.5 months before me. Best of luck!

Honestly, I am not sure what to think right now. Did they take your order? I was planning on contacting them since my dealer just told me that I am still basically where I was 4 months ago.

They took my deposit if that’s what you mean. I just ordered it so hasn’t been accepted by the factory

Yea you'll be lucky if you get a vin by December. Then add another 6wks for delivery.............been waiting 7months now with no vin. 2023 model should be launching end of May. If I don't get delivery by the time new one launches, I'll be expecting a 2023.

Was told today to expect delivery mid April. No vin, just a vague date. That would make it a few days shy of 8 months from order to delivery

Hello, I’m new to the forum so overlook anything I do wrong , I’ll learn lol. I stopped at our local dealership in January thinking I would just put in an order for an EX AWD with 8 passenger seating. I was told at the time they weren’t taking orders it would probably be 2023 models when they started ordering again because of the list in front of me. I texted the salesman that I had been talking to March 14th and told him I would take a 7 seater. He immediately called me and said they had an allocation open for an S FWD it wouldn’t be a AWD. I went ahead and ordered it and the next day got an ETA of May 15th. I really wanted AWD but was told had to be FWD? I know they have to order a certain trim but didn’t know about the FWD has anyone else encountered this?

the reason why you had to go with FWD is that just happens to be an unclaimed allocation that they have from the factory, you can definitely wait it out for the AWD and if your dealership wont put the order in, there are plenty who will.
