Wow, so here’s a crazy one. I ordered 2/11/22 and hit failcat on 4/5. Dealer said it would be in on 5/2. Just got off the phone with them and they’re unloading it now! With everything I’ve read on here I just assumed it would be delayed a couple of times. Pleasant surprise for sure.

So dealers are putting in orders sooner if customers paid over MSRP?

No, dealers who charge over msrp generally get the tellurides sooner bc most people are flocking to the msrp dealers therefore Internal dealer queue will be much longer at an msrp dealer vs. a dealer selling at 5,000 over.

That’s the same configuration I’m thinking about also. Trying to decide if I want prestige package too. Is it MSRP for all or just locals? What was deposit requirement and is it refundable? Thank you

I do believe it is for locals unfortunately. Their was a $1000 required refundable deposit.

We thought about prestige too, but the top of the line SX trim comes with enough bells and whistles for our family.

What actually does the date on Failcat mean? Is it the build date? The date the vehicle is accepted for production?

Just posting my wait time here. About 7 1/2 months. Placed $1000 deposit 9/9/21, Vin popped into failcat 1/30/22, delivered to dealer 4/18/22 after a few delays. I had somewhat of a 'unicorn' vehicle though. EX AWD with Bench 8-seat, no packages. Gravity grey with grey leather at MSRP. I guess they pump out the N/T/P and SX trim orders as they are more profitable and seem to arrive sooner, but I wanted the 8-seater.
I think its a great color combo and very happy to have it now. Good luck all!

That’s awesome, so exciting!! Did you pay msrp? I live in Houston and didn’t even think of trying to reach out to college station Kia. I ordered through premier Kia in Lufkin.

1. Placed order on 7/21/2021 from a dealership in Utah (was told 5-7 months).
2. I got a text from my sales guy on 12/10/2021 saying it was received Kia on 12/6/2021 saying with him also saying it will be 'some months' before we know more.
3. In late January he said it wasn't in Kfos but is in unfullfilled status with Kia and there is no ETA available.
4. Late march he said still no ETA available and it will likely be into August before I get my vehicle.

Is this normal? Does this sound right? I've had plenty of issues with this dealership along the way but this reeks of BS.

I'm in Dallas, but called around a ton of dealers between here and Houston. The conversation with Sterling was friendly and straight forward, and the market adjustment was lower than the other dealers who were taking orders.

Ordered in Tulsa September 25. Was told 18-30 weeks. We are now on week 30 with no eta. Was told probably late May maybe June.

I ordered 4/26 and was told it would be 12 to 16 weeks. Got a call 6/7 to say my order had been accepted and it was going to be a 2022 with no additional charges to me with an ETA of 6/23. Arrived at my dealership 6/21 and am picking up tomorrow 6/22. Not even 2 months so keep your hopes up. Some dealerships I’d talked to said 6 month wait. That’s why I called around.

what trim level did you get? I heard that also plays a part in it.

Ask your salesman what spot in line you are in . Within the dealership you are in a line . It's called k-dealer. If he doesn't have an answer ask the sales manager. From there you need to look on failcat and find out their allotment for the trim that you ordered. With this info you can get an estimate of how long until you have your telluride

That sounds about right. I ordered from KIA in South Jordan Utah below is my history. Yes ordered in Jun 2021 and it is supposed to arrive next week, but keeps getting delayed. Trucker shortage? Who knows why???

Quick question. My dealership (Kings Kia Cincinnati) said my order was picked up March 17th. My ETA is 6/3. Doesn’t that seem like long time from pickup to delivery? I was thinking it was usually 6-8 weeks.

Have you seen your VIN in failcat yet? Mine was also picked up on 3/17 and no VIN and dealership won’t give me an initial ETA.

Haven't seen any vins pop up on failcat in past 4 days. Wonder if they are converting all pending orders to 2023 model now?
