Order to delivery time

Congrats! So exciting... my question is if it came off Failcat once you picked it up? I keep a watch on mine as it showed up on 4/30/22 as well but it hasn't made it to the dealership yet. TIA and hope you're enjoying your new ride :)
No it doesn’t drop off failcat after delivery. It is still on failcat under my dealer. Hope you get yours soon, you will absolutely LOVE it!!

Ordered an 2022 Gravity Grey SX Prestige w/tow package on July 21, 2021.

So far I have waited for 10 months and 19 days. Still nothing.

Original order: July 21,2021. Due end of Oct. 2021.
pushed back to Thanksgiving 2021.
Pushed back to Christmas 2021.
Pushed back to March 2022.
ETA?? He said hopefully by summer but he wouldn’t give me a date. They keep saying my order hasn’t been picked up.

Order in line as of March- about 5.
Since then there have been 6 SX vehicles and I have yet to hear anything.

Feeling I will be passed up because others are willing to pay more and the demand is huge.

What would make them want to stick with me and my price we agreed on when they could make so much more?

Quite frustrated and disappointed! I thought a handshake and putting money down on a wait list meant something.

Sounds like you ordered from a pretty low-volume dealer. Check failcat.com to see how many orders they got in the past year to get a monthly average. If it's <10, that explains the wait. Hopefully you're getting close....

What dealer? They may just get really low allocations so it's taking forever. That has happened to me but I haven't waited quite as long. Ordered 10/5/2021 and my order was supposedly picked up by KFOS on 5/17/2022. Not on Failcat yet.

Curious what types of updates your dealerships have been able to give you on your order? I ordered at SX Wolf Grey Dune Brown N/T/P w cross bars on 10/8, it was picked up around 3/15 and I still don’t have any updates. 2.5 weeks ago my dealer told me he got a status that “MSRP was allocated and parts are in” but it still isn’t in failcat and there isn’t a VIN. I feel like I’m not getting all the information possible but would love thoughts from your experiences…
I am not getting any updates. I have emailed the GM twice, he responded but when I responded back with additional questions he nvever responded again. I emailed my sales rep for a copy of the received ordered from Kia, no response. I contacted Kia, akk they did was contact the dealer and gave me the same info as the GM "status is still unfilled". I think this is the most frustrating part, some people get updates, some people don't. I was told from Kia and my the GM that there is no finding out where you are in the que.

well with the news that ordering window for 22's are now closed, sounds like you will now end up with a 2023.

Sorry to hear that, getting pretty frustrated.

How do you know the different ETAs for paint, trim, etc? Did your dealer share that information>
Yeah, he sent me a rundown of the dates showing in the Kia system. 8 line items to detail the process: from body in to dealer arrival. Production completed showed an estimate of 6/11 and my build showed up today on Failcat with a VIN, so it looks to have been pretty accurate. Now it'll go through inspection and shipping.

I thought others might be able to benefit from my 2 telluride purchases.

I ordered 2 Telluride SX's with prestige around Oct 6, 2021 both in everlasting silver. The thought was to order 2 exact tellurides from 2 different dealerships (Lupient Kia and Luther Kia in the Minneapolis area) and then buy the first one that came in. Both dealers told me 4-6 months. In December I thought "Hey maybe I want to replace both of my cars so maybe I should change the color of one of them. My car at Lupient Kia had already been picked up by Kia (Not failcat) so I knew I couldn't change that one. So I called Luther and they said since my Telluride had not been picked up yet by Kia that I could change the color without any delay. I changed that telluride to Galactic grey. My car through Lupient showed up on failcat around Feb 8 and I was able to pick it up a month later on March 8 or so. Vadim was my salesman at Lupient and was great. He called me when my car was picked up by Kia. I called him when it was picked up my fail cat. I was very proactive calling when I had questions and he was always able to take my calls and answer my questions.

My 2nd car was picked up around March 15th. Since I called monthly for updates I was the one who reached out to them. Lupient was very clear along the way as to which number I was in line. Luther was not as detailed almost seeming like no one ever asks this question. When I did want to know what number I was they did do the math and let me know what number I was. Cheri was my sales lady and was very nice and helpful along the way. I would say that my information was pulled more then it was pushed to me partly because of my regular calls. My 2nd vehicle showed up on the Kia dealer page around May 10 or so with a delivery date of June 24. It did not show up on failcat until 2 weeks later. My date moved a TON!!! Cheri was great at always letting me know when the date was. I would text her each week for an update. It was moved up to May 26 and then pushed back until May 30, than pushed to June 3 than June 8. There was a hail storm at the rail yard in Minneapolis which delayed every manufacturer receiving their vehicles. Fortunately my vehicle was not damaged. I was told my delivery date was moved to June 30! On Saturday June 11 I was told my vehicle arrived at the dealer for pick up. The dealer did not receive any news saying why it was moved from June 30 to June 11. I am picking it up tomorrow from Iowa. I also ordered the weather tech HP mats. They are great! They did cost about $300 for the full set minus the cargo liner. Feel free to ask any questions. This site was extremely helpful along the way.

This is like one of those movies in which a couple fakes a relationship to placate family members or avoid deportation, only to find that they really are in love .... Congratulations!

It's also remarkable how much scheduling variance there was in two orders for the same trim at the same time from the same city.

LOL, yes it was a journey. Both dealers were fairly high volume as well (25 plus tellurides per month sometimes even over 30).

Has anyone recently order from Nutley Kia in NJ? I ordered on an EX N/P on 3/18 and still waiting for order to be picked up.

We ordered a SX on 3/17 from Nutley - Still waiting. Our sales person told us 6-9 months

With what I recently read, if your order hasn't been picked up, you are probably going to get a 2023.

That's my assumption. This seems to be the only Kia Dealership in NJ not marking up. I did call, and they told me it hasn't been picked up yet.

If you wouldn't mind, I'd be curious to know if you paid over MSRP.

I just joined the forum today to find out the answer to the question, "is anyone waiting longer than my wife and I have?" Obviously a few, but not many. Replying to you because you ordered from dealers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, which is where we live. Ordered our Gravity Gray SX AWD P/T on September 12, 2021 from Luther Kia Bloomington. Original due date, May 8. Then moved to May 11. Then May 18. Then, as you described, got the "have to inspect 'em all at the rail yard for hail damage" message. Then due date moved to June 8. Now today it has moved to June 22.

VIN hit failcat on March 29. So as of today we're 9 months and 2 days into it. Far as I can tell, Luther Bloomington is a reasonably high-volume dealer as they had 25 Tellurides hit Failcat so far in the first half of June, and nearly 40 in March (the month ours showed up). They have a total of 67 pages of VINs currently in on the site.

So I guess my question is this.......... What the hell?

I'll hang up and listen. :)

I ordered an EX AWD from Luther in Inver Grove Heights, MN on Jan 4, 2022. Just got notification from dealer that ETA at the dealer is now showing 8/28. Might I assume this will be a 2023?

I don't know that it is safe to assume that quite yet. We checked in with our Iowa dealer today. She said that they just had orders for '22s picked up this week and their ETA is 8/16.
