Order to delivery time

I have a thread dedicated to the wait time of SXP's. Non Nightfall SX Prestige Waiting Room

KIA took nearly a month off of SXP production to prioritize Nightfall Prestige trims - this has contributed significantly to the wait times of SXP orders submitted this year. I ordered mine in January and am currently being told it will finally be at the dealership next week. Finger's crossed. The timeline you are being quoted sounds accurate. However - the reason is BS. KIA had plenty of Prestige components to build Nightfall Prestige builds ahead of the older SXP orders...it was just a management decision that none of us could ever figure out.

Just was the intial splash.. for the 2021's... It isn't on its own.. also looks like turnaround time is slowing down on nightfalls and going in line with a normal SX AWD order
 
Just checked on my order for the 1st time since placing it 3wks ago, lol. Its still in "kdealer" stage. Wasn't expecting anything different :)

Where in Texas / what dealer did you order from? I’m hooping it’s not the same place I just placed my order at... no offense.

If it is, that doesn’t give me much hope in terms of turn-around time. Then again maybe mine will go quicker as I didn’t order the prestige package or nightfall edition.

I ordered from Classic KIA of Carrollton (DFW Area). However - I live in San Antonio. All of the dealerships here are horrible to deal with when trying to get a Telluride. None of them would even let me test drive one unless I began the ordering process and credit check. Absolutely ridiculous. They also all had huge markups.

Where did you order yours from? Where in Texas are you?

Wow I’m sorry to hear that! It’s a similar story where I’m at in Houston. All of the dealers were marking up SX models at least $6k above MSRP, and not one of them would offer to order one for me. I guess they know they can make more money ordering for themselves and adding the markup.

I ended up driving about an hour to Fort Bend Kia which wasn’t very convenient, but worth it IMO since they are taking orders. And they’re offering SX’s at MSRP with no dealer markups or other bs.

Placed my order today for 2021 SX AWD with Black Leather Interior, and GWP exterior. We’ll see how long it takes for me to get any kind of update though. From the brief interaction I had over the phone with the sales rep, they didn’t seem to be aware of Kdealer/KFOS or anything like that. So I feel like I’m flying blind here.

The just told me they’d give me an update once they had a VIN. lol

Yahoo!! I think that’s my car that showed up on failcat last night. I haven’t heard from the dealer yet but 🤞🤞. I’m glad they’re focusing on some old orders now. My dealer talked me out of the Nightfall package but talked me into the tow package 🤷‍♀️😂. Thanks for the response and information!! 🙂
