Rear windows not rolling up all of the way

I had to get a new battery installed and after that my rear windows will not roll up all of the way. They go up and then both of them fall to about half an inch down.
Has anyone else had this happen and if so how did you fix it?

You will most likely need to perform a “Window Learning Reset.”
I believe the Owners Manual has this information.

If your windows worked before and the battery was disconnected, a Reset is needed.

Reset Procedure​

1. Start your Telluride.
2. Close all the doors and windows.
3. Open the window by pressing and holding the window control switch. When the window is fully open, keep the switch pressed for a few seconds.
4. Close the window by lifting and holding the window control switch. When the window is fully closed, keep the switch held for a few seconds.

Note: Repeat the procedure if the window does not automatically close with one press of the switch. If it still doesn’t work, repeat the procedure without starting the engine and the ignition in ON position. To turn on the ignition in vehicles with start/stop button, press the button without pressing the brake pedal.

Reset Procedure 2​

If the above reset instructions do not work for your Telluride, then this alternate method may work.

1. Start your Telluride.
2. Close all windows and doors.
3. Open the window by pressing and holding the window control switch. When the window is fully open, keep the switch pressed for a few seconds. Release the switch, then press it again and hold it for a few seconds.
4. Close the window by lifting and holding the window control switch. When the window is fully closed, keep the switch held for a few seconds. Release the switch, then pull it upward again and hold it.
5. The one-touch up and down features will then be fully functional.

Note: If the window still doesn’t automatically close in your Telluride, repeat the procedure without starting the engine and the ignition in ON position. To turn on the ignition in vehicles with start/stop button, press the button without pressing the brake pedal.

I’m having the same issue, it started today. The windows are coming down about a half inch, after they are all the way up.

this process is pretty much the same for all/any vehicle with one-touch up/down feature.

Open the window all the way, then hold the button down for 10+ seconds. I usually hold it for a solid 30 seconds to be sure. It it works, you can one-touch the button to close the window. Repeat that on all windows to reset each one. If it doesn't work try it a few times until it works, usually when it fails it's because the user didn't hold the button pressed down (open) long enough.

For all the people that resetting did not work, try:
1. Roll down the window
2. Get an object to place in the way of the window
3. Use the one-touch feature and let it roll up on the object (do not hold the button up) it should automatically roll back down
4. Repeat 2 more times
5. Remove object
6. Roll window up and hold for 5 seconds
7. Roll window down and hold for 5 seconds
8. Roll window back up and hopefully it worked.

I am having this exact same issue with the back passenger. We just replaced the battery too
