• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... S Trim Headlights Not Bright

I just received the sealight 9005 hb3 headlights from Amazon. Put one right in the passenger side, easy peasey. However it seems like I must have a mismatch in the box. The plug on the light will not fit in the driver's side socket? Is this a possibility or am I crazy. And no I didn't really look when I plugged in the first one. It just fit perfectly and I kept right on going.

I went with the following for our model S and have been happy with them so far.

The fit is very similar to the stock halogen and was a huge improvement in visibility.

When I installed my HIDs, the driver side was fairly easy to get to and the passenger side was a BEAR! Odds are the tabs on your new bulbs are a teeny bit larger. I just keep working my bulb until it actually got under the housing tab. You can use a small screwdriver if necessary to GENTLY open the offending housing tab - but NOT MUCH! Patience was the best tool I had with my conversion.

Seems that I figured it out. Tried to install couple of days ago right around dusk. Looked at it again today, in the daylight and realized that one of the pins in the culprit light was bent just slightly.

Straightened that up, plugged in the bulb, and good to go. Nice and white light now. Matches the drl's.

It's a real shame that in 2020 we're having the discussion about bad headlights more than 50 years after we put a man on the moon.

Kia, if you're monitoring these forums, please pay attention to your customers.

The above comment to Kia may not be as silly as it seems.
Chrysler monitors and actively interacts with forum members.
I was invited to participate in a Skype interview with Ford after making a comment on a website they monitored. That was really cool.

I love them. No issues with distance from what I can tell. I got the "newer" more expensive version that's available now.
Hey, I was doing some research on upgrading my headlights and came across some posts on this forum. I saw your post specifically about the upgraded Sealight 9005 HB3 that you installed, but I'm having trouble getting mine to work. Any thoughts on why? I have the S model.
Thanks.
