• THIS SECTION IS ONLY FOR DISCUSSIONS RELATING TO BUYING A TELLURIDE. PLEASE USE A DIFFERENT SECTION FOR POSTING MESSAGES ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN BUYING A TELLURIDE. THANK YOU!

  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Telluride VIN Lookup Website

Remind me again... Once the VIN is created, how long until delivery? The website (Telluride Lookup) is showing VIN creation date of 2/25/20.
I’m at 22 days since my VIN was created and the car is being delivered to Omaha. It’s scheduled for March 5th. The dealer is contacting the transit company Monday for an update.

Muncie's got like 40 or 50 SXP orders (maybe not quite that many, but it's up there). I'm really hoping they get a good number of allocations next month to clear up some of the backlog. If you're right after me, hopefully you'll get yours, too.
I hope so too, I ordered with Muncie back in Nov.. It’s a shame a good dealership like them are being treated this way.

Thank you @foresterh for the lookup website!

question; I noticed that all cars that have "dune brown" as Int Color, show "black" on the window sticker?

Dune Brown is an option, so it will be listed on the right column of the sticker. And yes, the interior color at the top of the sticker will still say black.

It's all well and good by me, I don't really care. I'm in IT and can see a SQL query issue when it's there. The "P" option shows all "P" and "P/T" and "T" shows all "P/T" so there is really no advantage of having the filter in my opinion. But again, really not a huge deal. :)
It's not a bug, it's a feature :). Although it technically is a bug, but I like it and didn't have time to look into it...

When you see a VIN posted on that sheet how do you know it's yours? What if multiple customers ordered the exact same vehicle with the exact same options? Just curious, Thanks.

Turns out it wasn't mine :-(. I will continue to wait... The dealer could not give me any status whatsoever. I was hoping to get an idea of where I stand in the queue, but no such luck...

Just be aware, Suntrup doesn't have the best reputation on the forum, and they are highly likely to either (1) mark the vehicle up when it arrives by adding addenda galore (search Suntrup) or (2) selling the vehicle out from under you - for a markup. If you're confident in your relationship with Suntrup, then keep on waiting. But, if not, keep hunting using the tools. A late November order delivered in less than 6 months for an SX-P would be a rather stellar result - and you said they promised it in a 3-4 month window. Seems fishy... but they are a fishy dealer.

Some perspectives...

Has anyone tried the VIN Lookup Website today? It's not loading for me. Seems to be frozen.

Having problems myself today with Lookup. Sent Foresterh a message.

Seems to be working again :)

Bummer :-(. Sure hope they don't screw me over. I did put down a $500 deposit back in November, although, they never cashed the check. I also bought a Stinger from them back in October of 2019, and did not encounter any issues.

Anyone on this forum order from Gerald Kia Naperville IL. They received 6 SXP in January and 7 SXP in February according to the stats. All stickers look to be before price increase.
I ordered from them early January right after price increase and have a KDealer number. Just wondering how their communication was when order went to KFOS and VIN creation.

Stay away from them unless your willing to pay the mandatory $1985.00 above MSRP for their 3M door strips that you can get for yourself for $10. A lot of bait and switch. Their website shows they have 10+ vehicles on their lot, but when you show up, nothing is to be found, and they say "oh, we had a busy weekend", but they'll be happy to order for you for a markup....

Yes I know. Your epericence was not pleasant. As you have shared previously. But we stuck it out and negotiated their "dealer prep" crap down to a few hundred. Included their paint/wax treatment/ interior scotch guard. Rip/tear warranty. Blah blah. At least something of potential value. And I say potential. I get it. That was before I joined the forum. At this point going to try to stick it out. I had called in advance before going and they were forthright that all the website vehicles were sold. Did a test drive in one SXP and also saw another being prepped for customer pick up that same day. W shall see what the next part of the experience is. But we are better armed due to this forum. Not financing so that is off table.

Sorry, yes, I guess I didn't answer your question about delivery. They're a high volume dealer, so I'm sure you'll get your vehicle as promised... As much as the sales guy keeps calling me, I'd say their communication is good....

Will keep everyone posted on how the next step proceeds. For those willing to stomach the car sales shenanigans, the one thing that was cool about this dealer was the test track. Never experienced that before and not sure other dealers in Chi-town area have it. Check it out on google maps satellite view. It was worth it for just that to put the Telluride through some testing vs just a drive around the block

Checked yesterday and found a VIN for what appeared to be our Telluride. Contacted the dealer and they confirmed it today. Now we will see how long it takes to get to the dealer.. Thanks Jamie for putting together this tool.
