What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Nutley is not taking orders or selling more 23s at all, last time I checked (a couple weeks ago).

Paid MSRP of $50,860 for a 2022 AWD Ebony Black/Black SX Prestige w/tow package. The dealership, Kia of Groton (talk to Ajaye Alston), originally had it listed as $60K on their site, which is why I wasn't considering it. My wife sent an inquiry via Edmunds.com or KBB.com, so I was surprised when they reached out, offering it for $50K. The manager at Groton had a sales goal they wanted to reach by the end of December, so maybe reach out and see what you can maybe land. It could be worth the drive. I drove 6 hrs from central PA for mine. Luckily my parents live on the CT/NY border, so I stayed with them the night before after driving through snow squalls in the dark in my 2013 FWD base model Ford Explorer, which handled great, honestly. It was just time for an upgrade.

I was going to pay about $52K for a '23 AWD SX from a dealer in VA, but I felt this was a better deal, plus I like the older front/rear bumpers on the '22 on dark-colored models than the new ones on the '23 models. A '23 wolf gray looks good, though.

Sorry to be clear think when I last calc’d I did technically pay over dealer MSRP but still was only about +$900
I’d recommend also using Edmunds price checker. When I checked my OTD it was rated peak “great” deal
Still love to know what dealership you went to. 23 EX at Burlington Kia had a Market Adjustment and add ons totaling 12k. Cherry Hill I saw 30k on a SX.

THIS, is not a joke right? They are doing this because obviously there are people who have paid and will pay this markup. Who are these people? How many braincells do they have?

Agreed. I was willing to do the $2K over for the '23 SX X-Line AWD but nothing over that. The $7,500 and $10K markups are outrageous. That is when I start looking at the competition for alternatives. I was even considering going for the SX AWD X-Line Sorento instead but I prefer the size of the Telluride. I didn't want to downsize from the Ford Explorer I had before. At least not while I have kids. Once the kids aren't a factor, the Sorento would meet my needs size wise, but the thing that pisses me off now is there is no V6 option. My wife's V6 2018 AWD EX is great and gets between 27-32 mpg on the highway with 88 octane. The smaller 4 cyl or 4 cyl turbo doesn't really get any better gas mileage but is nowhere near as good as the V6 IMO. I may consider the Sorento hybrid only because the quoted 600+ miles range on a tank of gas. A plug-in EV though, nope.

Check out Manahawkin Kia (NJ)
Salesman by name of Bobby sold me ‘23 SX fwd
No add-ons. They seemed pretty clear/straightforward.
Dealer msrp 47,530 (edit: including white exterior + floor mats)
From there added only the typical;
dmv fees, dealer reg fees, taxes, luxury tax (and discount gross tax on any trade in).
Again eod “markup” was only about $900 so felt like got real good deal
Apparently they had bad Nov so they were willing to negotiate
I went pretty hard on the negotiating so I’d recommend doing the same for a good (in my case) “great” deal (imo)

I just ordered one for MSRP.. I felt lucky because any other dealer I talked to was adding on at least 7k markup even for orders…I can’t believe you found a dealer willing to work wit Costco pricing! What was the Costco pricing discount you were able to get?
Could you provide the salesperson’s name?

New member. First post.

So I’m at the dealership today here in Florida and they are selling me a used White 2022 SX Prestige Nightfall with 7000miles for 46k. Fees and taxes and everything out the door is 52k. It’s at a Ford dealership and they have this Plus program insurance for all cars. That was 2k. I tried to get it off but couldn’t. Originally they wanted the car for 48k. Can you tell me if it’s a good deal? I think it is. But not sure. Kinda want to hear feedback from the community. Thx :)

If its the one at Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel looks like a good deal. Quick auto trader search of 100mi radius shows other used '22s with double the mileage for the same price (plus who knows if they're adding bs fees/services to that list price like your dealer is.)

There's a cheaper one at $42k with 14k mi from a dealer called AutoSavvy. If I'm going by their name alone it'd probably be a complete $hit show when you went there to try and purchase at that price. I'd stick with the Ford dealer if you've got no other leads. GL

(Yes I'm bored at the moment. Hope this helped. Haha)

Hey appreciate it. We ended up getting the one at Parks Ford.

Are prices starting to come back down to earth? Reason I ask is b/c a couple of months ago, a dealership near me asked if I was still interested in buying a fully loaded Telluride (AWD SX-Prestige X-Pro). I said yes, however, I did not want to pay over MSRP. At that time, he confirmed $5k over sticker. He said it will definitely sell for $5k over MSRP, and continued to reach out to me over the last couple of months…

Just yesterday, he reached out and confirmed they’re no longer charging any mark-ups, and asked if I was still interested. I’m definitely interested, however, problem is, my Ford Explorer valuation has dropped A LOT since the last time I checked via KBB. Plus, I have a 0% loan on my Explorer. Can’t get that type of loan today.

Anyhow, I found it interesting that they’re no longer charging any mark-ups. Maybe prices are starting to come back down…

Thanks!

Prices do seem to be coming back down but used vehicle prices are dropping as well.

I just bought my 2020 Telluride SX FWD with 85k miles for $33.5k + TTL (OTD was right just under $36k). Based on all the other Telluride's for sale in my area I feel I got a really good deal, and it was something in my price range. I had trade in offers for my 2011 Honda Pilot Touring with 134k miles ranging between $7k and $8.5k so I sold it to an individual for $10k and put that towards my purchase.

I have a very high FICO score and the best interest rate I could get on a used vehicle was 6.5% so I bit the bullet and just paid cash. Instead of paying that interest to a bank I'm going to repay myself each month with my "loan payment" going back into savings.

I guess question is what is included in the msrp?
From the factory msrp you still need to add exterior color (if applicable) and destination fees (neither is negotiable).
For me, in late Nov, I got a ‘23 sx fwd $900 over dealer msrp which included exterior white + destination + fabric floor mats.
From there only had to pay taxes + reg fees + dealer processing fee
Most dealers add to their msrp by including all sorts of stuff I would typically not want (ie fabric protection, roof racks etc)

Just bought mine yesterday. Ebony black with sage green interior sx prestige x line pro. MSRP at 55,499. DEALER had a sticker Mark up of 9,000 but negotiated off. Bought it Saturday night and the dealer said I need to bring it back Monday because it's still possibly in shipping mode. I don't notice or see anything but first thing I'm telling them is they better not add any dealer logo stickers on it.
