What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

This car has been out for almost 2 years now, demand has not let out one bit! The reason these dealerships get Away with it, is there are some people who actually are happy to shell out up to $10k just to get a car immediately. Don’t know if this car would ever sell for invoice but you can most definitely order for MSRP.
Best of luck!

I don't think there are anyone who are "happy" about paying more than MSRP.

I was fortunate enough to find the dealership a few miles from home that was charging only MSRP. Given what I kept seeing online, I didn’t argue haha. It was Kia Of Dayton in Huber Heights, they have a sister store in Beavercreek that IS charging around 3k over depending on model. But, the smaller one is not. They advertise online as being a little higher (I think to catch out of the area sales and make some money) but are msrp in person. Ordered two same day and had them both in about 3 months, with a week delay between the two. Sticker was $48,565 each. Paint protect was $650. One thing I didn’t like was that they did the etching on one of them for some reason for $250 but I didn’t put up much fight over it, since it was the only hidden fee and I overheard a couple asking their salesman if mine was available and I didn’t feel like risking it. They were eyeing it big time!

Figure of speech. Correct to “are willing to...” :)
Bottom line is, people have the choice, and they chose to pay extra over and over. Now there is a pricing issue.

A 2 telly home? Interesting!
What color combos? Hope you enjoy :)

Which dealer is offering Costco pricing?

I also have a hard time paying MSRP for a KIA. I'm in South Florida and one dealer yesterday told me they would "only" charge me a 3k mark up on my order. Another told me MSRP, but even that's nonsense. The market will change and I hope everyone remembers the prick dealers.

You should easily be able to order your car at invoice, plus tax title and dealer fee. The dealer get a sold unit sale, plus the dealer fee, plus the holdback and everyone is happy. they'd get twice as many sales.

But the limited production due to the B.S. virus will change and they'll be begging for our business.
The only dealer in the US verified to offer Costco pricing on the Telluride is Kia of Muncie. Super legit dealer, but prepare for a long wait.

As far as having a "hard time paying MSRP for a Kia", well, if you don't go with Kia of Muncie, you're going to have to accept it for quite a while. The vehicle has been out for just over two years now, and demand and pricing have only gotten higher in that time. Honestly, with all of the raves the car is getting, I don't seeing it getting much better for quite a few years (5?), if at all. And as I'm been flamed for incessantly on this board, I thought I was going to be able to get an SX-P for $41,000 when the vehicle first came out. Well, that obviously didn't happen. I paid MSRP, and I'm OK with that.

Why? Because it's a f--kin' killer vehicle, which easily compares with vehicles costing $10,000 - $15,000 more, or sometimes even higher. Yesterday, I wrote a post about how a nearly $90,000 GMC Yukon Denali doesn't have something like blind spot indicators in its heads-up display, which the Telluride and Palisade have. And, even though I have had my vehicle for only 3 weeks, I owned two Accords before, and the Telluride smashes the Accord in every way, including build quality, from what I have experienced so far.

I'm not saying get ripped off, as I think people paying huge fees above MSRP are crazy when better options are out there, but you have to get real.

2021 SX-Prestige with towing on both. Gravity Grey and Moss Green, gray Nappa interiors on both. Definitely enjoying them much more than the 2019 Pilots they replaced! Just wish people would stop hitting the Gravity Grey one.... two hit and runs while parked and several parking lot scratches in just 3,900 miles kinda sucks the joy out of it haha.

So sorry to hear about the hit’n runs. Great colors. Were our top 2 choices till NFE came out. Went with the Moss green with Dune interior for her, SXP, NFE & Towing. Still awaiting arrival as Kia has yet to ship a fully built vehicle with vin & all, which we ordered at MSRP. Opted for no extended warranty & paint protection is it is not real Ceramic coating, but still tempted to add it for interior.

It seems a number of folks on this forum have ordered with NowCar; they're Florida based I believe. Kia of Muncie (LUCAS BOEHM) in Muncie, Indiana, honors Costco Auto Program pricing. Got mine from them @ $1,000 below MSRP. Had to wait 6 months after initial order, but that was not a problem for me. I flew there & drove my Telly back to Virginia.

Thank you.

The dealer closest to me just offer 500 below MSRP for Costco, plus a 1248 doc fee.

I was like thanks for the discount off the b.s. mark up.

I honestly have 10 dealers in my immediate area. I'm going call all of them.

Something is odd with nowcar.com. Trying to build the car, after select Glacial white pearl, SX, prestige, Dune brown (it let me check those options) it keeps saying I have to select seat option from the list that shows only black and gray leather. I know Dune brown is available with Glacial white pearl.

Also, trying to create an account, it asked for PIN number. Am I supposed to receive a PIN number even before I create an account?

Contacted an associate but didn’t get any email back for 2 days even though they said 12 hrs.

I did all this from an iPad so not sure if it’s related.

update: I got the email back. The PIN number is the one I have to create.

Hi everyone. Any reason why my Kia dealership is asking me to fill out the online credit application? I was finally called that my car was in, But all they did was basically give me no info on picking it up, just asked me to fill out the credit application and hung up.
Do you have to finance thru Kia if you ordered your Telluride? What’s the catch here? This process has not been informative the whole way thru. Now I’m looking out for “the catch”. Any help/experiences appreciated.

I had to do one recently so that the dealer could confirm whether or not I was a serious buyer or if I even qualified in getting a car. I'm pretty sure it's just a security blanket on their end so they don't "waste" their resources on a potential client. You can finance with whoever you want. Best thing to do is get some pre-approvals before even going to the dealer and then see if they can beat the deal you already have in hand. If yes, then great! If not, fall back on the deal you got through your bank or credit union.

Depends; if you show up with your own financing then I wouldn’t fill it out.

We paid MSRP for our Kia at Fort Collins. For anyone wanting to pay invoice price, I commend you but know that, in my case, invoice and MSRP were so close on my purchase, that paying MSRP was not a big deal. Prior to the purchase, I did not know what invoice price was but found out afterwards. We were able to find the right color, with the right options, and no dealer installed options. That is how they get you at the dealership these days.

I encourage you to work with Ryan Hall at Fort Collins Kia. It was a no hassle, no pressure sale. I was very pleased. We had the truck transported to Southern CA. Overall, I was pleased with the service from Fort Collins Kia.

Kia financing was offering $500 off MSRP in March (if you finance through Kia). My advice to you is:
Get pre-approved with your favorite bank/CU, share your letter of approval with the dealership, then have them shop no more than 2 other banks in order to ensure the lowest rate for you without getting so many hits rhat your score goes down a few points.
Good luck!
