Yo, give Luther in Bloomington a call. Was a nice experience when I went in for a test drive, no pressure to buy or anything. Not sure how long delivery of the vehicle is going to take but they do a ton of orders according to Failcat. My rep thought he'd have an update within a couple months for me. Ordered mine the last week of July.

Matt Belt at Nationwide Kia in Lutherville (north of Baltimore) sold it to me for MSRP. They originally wanted 2500 over MSRP, but Matt was kind enough to sell it at MSRP.

Dealer is committed to sell it on MSRP, I came to know about the add-ons when I saw the copy of the order. I am going to talk to the General Manager of the dealership to square this off this week. I haven't paid a dime, I can walk away anytime if he doesn't budge.

The F&I office at your dealership will offer it. But it's just always cheaper to get it added to your regular car insurance policy.

My insurance co, Farmers, no longer offers Gap insurance. I asked. Bought through my Credit Union.

What you’re calling a hedge, I’m calling overpriced insurance. Actually that’s being generous because you’d be insuring against a loss that almost doesn’t exist. Tell us what your loan balance is and then tell us what the gap would be if your Telly were totaled.

It was $2 per year for the gap insurance for me, so I took it. May work out in the event of an accident if insurance lowballs the value. Obviously every state and insurance company are different.

Where do you buy Gap insurance?

Actually you can probably purchase it through your car insurance. Call them up and ask them. And if they do ask how much of the loan will they cover in an event if something should happen. I have American Family... and they was gonna cover 120% of the loan and it was only another 5$ added each month. Plus you can always cancel anytime being that you're only going to carry it for a limited amount of time anyway!

We looked at about 5 dealerships in the Northern VA/MD area, the markups above msrp at each dealership were between 3-10k. My truck broke down and we needed a second vehicle for my wife and I had already been renting a car for 2 weeks so we broke down and paid 10k over msrp at Bowie Kia in MD out of desperation.

The rental i ended up with just coincidentally was a '21 kia soul, which had lane centering technology that i determined I couldnt live without after driving it for those two weeks. The wife wanted a awd vehicle and we have a 140lb dog that needed to fit in the cargo space. The part that stinks is i liked the lfa in the rental better better because it worked entirely independent of cruise control, where as in our telluride you have to have scc engaged to use the feature. But I digress, we looked at about 5 different dealerships and in most cases they were putting tags on the best looking telluride to turn over to new owners as we were pulling into the lot. Very limited options in this area. A few dealerships said they were getting some in soon, but i had already spent $1400 on the rental at that point and I had to stop the bleeding

Dealers around us (NW Arkansas) are charging 20% above SRP. One dealer is buying slightly used 2021 Tellurides from Florida with ~1,000 miles on them and still tacking on an up charge.
We drove a couple hours down the road and ordered SX Prestige Nightfall without the up charge.

You paid $700 per week for a Kia Soul? I know rental cars are a lot more expensive these days, but that isn't right. I don't have all the info, but it seems like you got taken on the rental car, and then taken again on the car purchase.

Another MN purchase here. I called a few different dealerships in the Twin Cities. Only 1 dealership had a markup above MSRP. All had fairly similar refundable cash deposits as well.
