However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Orange County, CA. 2024 Prestige Pro-X — $5,200 below MSRP. 5.75% apr for 60 months but will likely refi once Aprs come down.

Looked at same car 2 years ago and it was $5k over msrp.

Out the door with taxes and fees was $52,472.00

You have all the power. Show up with a pre approved apr from another lender and the dealer will beat it every time!! I also got a few extra goodies like all weather mats and cargo cover for no charge. ($500 value)

What OC dealer was this if you don’t mind me asking. Thanks and Congrats on the new ride 😎

I just went in for a simple service and Kia of Carson is still adding market adjustments to every single vehicle on the lot, as FYI.

What was the market adjustments on the Telluride if you don’t mind me asking. I bought mine from Kia of Carson back in 2021 @ MSRP and qualified for their 1.9 APR as well. Glad I pulled the trigger.

EV9 was being marked up at about $8k over. I didn't look at the Telly specifically but the Sorento and so on all had around 7-10% extra.

2024 Telluride Jungle Green SX X-Pro (TN Dealer)
$51,950 MSRP
$1,299 LUX Care (Protection package that every dealer seems to be adding. Also looked at a Honda Pilot TrailSport, and those Dealers were even worse with negotiating that "Protection Package" out of the deal).
$3,000 Market Adjustment Rate
$799 (Doc & Dealer Fee)
$57.048 Total

+Tag and Tax

Closed the deal at $50k + tags and tax, nothing else. Put $20k down and 5.75% for 60 months through KFA.
$7,048 off the initial worksheet quote. Tried to get more $ off of MSRP, but after a few attempts wasting time with other Dealers, this deal was the lowest I've been able to get (as it was the Rig I wanted). I possibly could have done a bit better if I settled on a White, Black or Silver color (as there more of them on the lots), but I really liked the Jungle Green color and figured it was time to pull the trigger.

So I am on the hunt for the wife's new car and love the Telluride, it is slowly growing on her as well. Looking for a good dealer to work with in Western Washington, preferably south of Seattle. Would love to find one that isn't going to add on a second sticker (although that might be a slim chance). Any one here can point me in the right direction?

From what I am seeing here, those that are financing get close to MSRP or even under. Those that pay cash get beaten up and can end up paying over. I assume that the dealer is making enough money on the finance to keep them satisfied.....and giving the buyer some slack on the MSRP markup.

I ended up having to buy one quickly after turning in a company vehicle. In June, I walked into the dealership in the morning and out with my new car. I ended up getting a 2023 Telluride S with no miles on it for $42,000 + All Weather Cargo Mats. The mark up was insane, but I was able to negotiate $7,000 off the list price. AWD with Midnight Lake Blue paint. Very happy with the purchase!

2024 Telly EX AWD, bought yesterday for cash in Mpls., Sticker $45,235, dealer discount $1,146, plus dealer paid at least $1000 over market for my low mileage Soob WRX w 8 rims, good summer and winter tires.

No dealer-installed profit makers. No attempt to sell me any except halfhearted attempt by the F&I guy to sell extended warranties. Kia packed $225 carpet mats and $55 cargo net with the car. Forcing profit-makers from the factory is pretty common per the dealer. They have no choice but to take and pay for whatever Kia decides to pack the ticket with.

Year-old Tellys are almost nonexistent in our market, typically priced almost like new ones. Normally I buy year-old used but that didn't make any sense this time. So I will eat some first-year depreciation eventually when the market calms down. :-(

I tried to buy a one year old used one as well, and saw the same thing. Priced just like new (the deal I got) with anywhere from 12k-25k miles on the clock. Where's that 10%-15% depreciation hit for driving it off the lot? This shows the used car market is still struggling with supply.

I purchased from Germain Kia in Columbus, OH yesterday. They had 40ish Tellurides on lot. As an out-of-state purchaser, I paid the negotiated price (approx $3500 below MSRP) + $285 in fees, out the door. (Also rec'd well above Black Book on my trade) Best vehicle purchasing experience I've ever had. Check out their website and ask for Matt Swier in sales. Great guy.

Any.uck?
I'm in same area currently working with Hanson Kia at 3k over msrp.
Thanks

I know there's been some negative comments about it, but use a car buying referral service like TrueCar - a lot of credit unions or banks use it. Or check your bank/credit union. Don't settle for something you don't want. Wait until the car you want is in stock, or at least shows up on your preferred dealer, and go get it. Ask them if they'll honor the TrueCar price and shake their hand when they do. If your dealer has to get the car from another dealer, you'll have zero bargaining power and probably won't honor the TrueCar price. I'd find a dealer that offers the most freebies.

Our dealer (not City Kia below) gave a lifetime powertrain warranty and lifetime synthetic oil changes, plus free window tints (we just did the two front side windows). If a dealer will not honor a TrueCar price for a car that is attached to that dealer, walk away, and report it to TrueCar. Our dealer was going to honor the price below, but it had the Terracotta, and we wanted Sage Green, and went elsewhere and got it. We did pay MSRP for for X-Line Prestige in Jungle Green with Sage Green interior. Our preferred dealer had to get it from 100+ miles away, but we didn't care. We do pretty well, and the $3400 is just 14 days of work a month vice my normal 12 days a month.

We're very happy. We got a Kia survey about our buying experience, and while I put praise on the dealers we ultimately bought from, I slammed the other 2 dealer in the survey when asked - in part because our first dealer said he would honor the TrueCar price on the Telluride he had to get from another dealer, then 15 minutes later, changed his mind.

I got 2024 Dark moss last Thursday.
Dealer brought it in as looking for that color with black interior.
Sales guy was ok but sales manager not so much.
Markup 5k plus swat tracking GPS another 2k, He said was mandatory on all cars.
I got him down to around 2500 over MSRP. Then waited for car to come in.
While waiting went on multiple sites to find better deals.
Sent in a quote from Truecar, NO markups .
They price matched it also no swat tracking .
Actually same car that was on Truecar at another dealer. Vin Matched
All over text before I came back in.
Still had to deal with finance manager. (no add on warrantys for me)
Next car I get will be all online dealings first.
Happy so far.

Looking for a wolf gray with terracotta interior. Probably one of the pro versions. Does anyone have a dealer in Dallas area that will sell for less than msrp or at least take off all the dealer ads?

Welcome to the forum, if you are open to the X-line version I can help. I have both with and without the Prestige Package coming in and can be reserved.

Here in the Midwest, the best I could find was $3,000 off MSRP on 24 SXP X-PRO.
