My experience just doesn’t trust them until I get further information, but this is the quote from Lasfit:
“It seems that our bulbs are not compatible with your 2022 Kia Telluride, please return to the below address:”
If I can keep my patience for 5 months while my car was built, I guess can wait until I find a truly compatible bulb, or Lasfit updates theirs for ‘22 models.
It is kind of crazy to think after 2 years of compatibility, that a minor change would be made on either end to make these not work. Definitely a little crazy.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will have to wait as well. If you happen to find a compatible brand or any updates feel free to PM me. Thanks again:)

I just finished installing Lasfit 9005 HB3 LED headlight elements in my '21 LX. Went well......no issues that I'm aware of, except that my hands/fingers are too big. There are no "dark spots" apparent to me, so I didn't mess w/ rotating them. Just got back from a nite drive around town, and did not get a single "flash" from other drivers, so I guess the aim must not be too bad.........although low-beam seems high to me, but I guess I'll wait for "others" to convince me. I love the brightness on both low & high beams. ......MUCH better than the halogens. So far, all in, 2 thumbs up !!

I was hoping that the LED's would give better side visibility on low-speed tight turns, like side streets & driveways, but they don't much....... if at all. KIA needs to address that issue......... IMHO.

Great write up, thanks for investing the time and effort to see what works. Looks great! On the headlights, does it require low and hi beams?

Just completed LED upgrades across all the lights on my S Trim and confirmed that it all functions without error codes and hyperflash.

tl;dr
- Front lights changed includes 1) Headlamps, 2) Turn Signal, 3) Side Marker
- Rear lights changed includes: 4) License Plate, 5) Back Up / Reverse, 6) Tail, 7) Brakes, 8) Side Marker, 9) Rear Turn Signal
- Total cost was just over $200, and about 2 to 2.5 hours of work (excluding failure to find the right bulbs)
- On hindsight, I would have not done the side markers (little visual difference) and the rear turn signal (really difficult to install)

Thought I'd document my entire journey here to make it easy for others who might want to embark on a similar journey. Each section includes:
a) LED Bulb Purchased + Cost
b) Ease of Installation
c) Installation Guide
d) My Personal Take
e) Before / After Image

----------------------

1. Headlamps
a) LED Used: 9005 LASFIT headlights from Amazon ($54.99)
b) Ease of Installation: 5-10 mins
c) Installation Guide: LASFIT YouTube
d) Hot Take: No issue with hyperflash or error codes, would def start with this install as it gives the greatest bang for your buck (visually and ease of installation)
e) Left - Original Halogen, Right - LED

2. Front Turn Signal
a) LED Used: 1157-A Everbright from Amazon ($16.99); H/T: Cacalon on this forum
b) Ease of Installation: 10-15 mins
c) Installation Guide: LASFIT YouTube
d) Hot Take: Use an adjustable wrench to get leverage to twist out the housing
e) Left - Original Halogen, Right - LED

View attachment 13008

3. Front Side Marker
a) LED Used: 194 LASFIT from Amazon ($10.94)
b) Ease of Installation: 10-15 mins
c) Installation Guide: H/T Jazzyone
d) Hot Take: Lowest bang for the buck with very limited visual difference (hence the lack of photos)

4. License Plate
a) LED Used: 194 LASFIT from Amazon ($8.89)
b) Ease of Installation: 5 mins
c) Installation Guide: LASFIT YouTube
d) Hot Take: Easiest installation
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

View attachment 13011

5. Backup / Reverse
a) LED Used: 912 Auxito from Amazon ($13.99)
b) Ease of Installation: 20-25 mins
c) Installation Guide: LASFIT YouTube
d) Hot Take: It looks more intimidating than it actually is. The visual difference does justify the work required, imo
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

View attachment 13012

6. Tail
a) LED Used: 1157-R 2 sets of Oxilam on Amazon ($16.99 per set)
b) Ease of Installation: 10-15 mins
c) Installation Guide: H/T itsal
d) Hot Take: Tail lights were easy to change out as part of the "Tail Lamp Assembly" that includes the next 2 lights (Brake and Rear Marker).
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

View attachment 13014

7. Brake
a) LED Used: 1157-R LASFIT on Amazon ($45.95); Tried ~10 different bulbs on Amazon in the <$20 price range and every single one of them triggered an error code. LEDs tested and failed includes: Oxilam (linked above), 1797, Vehicode, Alla, Phinlion, Auxlight, Auxito, iBrightstar, Luyed, Katur)
b) Ease of Installation: (included in Tail lamp install); Caveat that finding a bulb that worked without triggering error codes was the single most difficult part of replacing this light and took me a full month of back and forth.
c) Installation Guide: H/T itsal
d) Hot Take: Invest in a CANBUS / Error Free bulb as this was the most problematic bulb by far. Luckily this was by far the easiest bulb to swap in and out to test!
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

View attachment 13015

8. Rear Marker
a) LED Used: 194 LASFIT on Amazon ($10.94)
b) Ease of Installation: (included in Tail lamp install)
c) Installation Guide: H/T itsal
d) Hot Take: Similar to Front Marker, the visual difference is minimal and you'd be swapping out for completeness sake, not for any actual benefits.

9. Rear Turn Signal
a) LED Used: 1157-R Oxilam on Amazon ($16.99)
b) Ease of Installation: 45-60 mins. By far the most difficult to switch out.
c) Installation Guide: H/T firedawg
d) Hot Take: This was REALLY difficult to install and had to be done almost entirely by touch and feel. The screws you have to remove to access the driver side lights are really difficult to remove. I personally would not have done it if not for the time I had already invested and my OCD to complete the project. Use a adjustable wrench to get some leverage to turn the housing, and leave this for last to get familiar with how to install 1157 bulbs by practicing on the other bulbs. I'd also consider installing each bulb in a separate session to avoid driving yourself crazy!
e) Left - LED, Right - Original Halogen

Superb writeup. Quality

Has anyone replaced the dessicant pack inside the dust covers ? Mine were hard, which I think means they have absorbed all the moisture they can. Where would you buy such things ?

I've read everything I can find, and I'm still not clear about how to adjust the height / aim on my LX headlights. There's a 12 mm bolt / nut on the back side of the housing, which turns easily in either direction. Is that the adjuster? Or is that a plug which removes to get at the adjuster? Or is it something else all-together ? ........TIA.......

And the answer is: YES, that 12mm bolt / nut IS in fact the adjuster! Clockwise lowers the headlight beam.

Just ordered dessicant pads from mykiaparts.com ....... $12 / ea.

FYI .........mykiaparts.com just cancelled my order for dessicantt packs, saying that "the part has been discontinued". They didn't say WHY it's been discontinued. ........Go figure .........

Anyone found a suitable LED bulb for the 2022 yet?

I suppose HID mod is an option.

Have you had any blind spot issues with the headlights? I installed the Lasfit and the side of the road is now pitch black. I'm not a huge fan. Thinking of trying HID instead.

Do those with the factory led headlights need the moisture packs in them ?
I had foot surgery and not able to check them being stuck in bed .

Thanks

Thinking of trying HID instead.

While LED retrofits have issues to resolve like CANbus flicker and dark spots, HID does also have some things to be aware of as well. For example heat output and electrical. Page 4-171 of the manual “If you install an aftermarket HID head lamp, your vehicle’s audio and electronic device may malfunction.” I have nothing against HID it’s just a bigger commitment to me over than trying another LED retrofit, moving to a better halogen or even getting added driving lights. I am reassured that the manual from Kia at least acknowledges that people may upgrade their headlamp bulbs!

Based on pictures I saw on eBay of used factory LED assembles, there does still appear to be a round cap on the back. If that isn’t sealed tightly then moist air could get in the assembly.

This is only an issue if you don’t install a relay. A relay harness draws power direct from your battery instead of the power from your stock bulb harness, which the stock harness draws less amps. Usually not enough amps to start the HID ballasts, power regulator for the HID bulbs.

Anybody can install a relay harness fairly easily, and the results are still far superior to halogen light output.

Thanks. I really wanted the LEDs. I used a company call Lasfit. Got the first set and one of the bulbs didn't work, Exact same problem with the replacement set. Maybe I should just try a different company

Agreed. Thanks for the detail. I’m just pointing out in case some people assume HID is as easy as a bulb swap. It’s a bit more expense and commitment to do it right.

Yes - I purchased the exact ones linked to by OP and had zero issues getting them to work. Haven't driven anywhere beyond my driveway yet, so I've no idea about the aim. Guess we'll see what sort of "feedback" I receive from other drivers.

Thanks, I actually just installed the new Lasfit LC plus on my ‘22 tonight. They look awesome. Noticeable improvement over the halogens both in complete dark and roads with ambient lighting. Spent $40 and 10 mins to install, 30 mins driving around checking them out. Hopefully they hold up.
