However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

I have a lot of experience with dealers. But these guys very often overpriced goods and services.

My local dealer was no slouch. When I ordered (May 16), they were unsure of delivery but thought it would be mid-September. Car came in last week - only took 6 weeks. And it was pretty special order with SX-P, X-Line, premium paint and interior, running boards, mud flaps, cargo tray, etc. Given the fact that the plant only started building '24s like the first or second week of June, getting the car by the end of June is even more impressive.
I ordered June 7. They told me 6-8 weeks but I was thinking September too. I'll take mid July, it will save our September trip plans.

Yeah, the way they are cranking them out now, and with August as a buffer - you should be good to go for September.

Tyler at Freedom Kia in Morgantown, WV was great. No markup, no extras, no BS. I highly recommend that dealership as a whole and specifically Tyler.

Just picked up my car this week from Fort Bend Kia in Rosenberg (Houston, TX). Devin Mosley was really great, always answered my texts/calls or would text me back if he couldn't speak right away. Completely MSRP. They did offer LoJack as their only add-on but completely optional so I rejected it. They also offered warranties but were not pushy and when I rejected those as well, they accepted that with no issues. Since I had no trade-in and financed through Kia, I was in and out of the dealership in two hours.

Jim Butler Kia of Chesterfield MO. My sales rep was Jean Silverio. Zero markup, $499 doc fee. Super nice guy and smooth process. Highly recommend!

We purchased a 24 Telluride LX from South Dade Kia of Homestead, they were very easy to work with and sold the vehicle for MSRP + tax/title + a reasonable FL dealer fee. Did the purchase fully remote and than had family in the area pick up the vehicle. Definitely would recommend

@arckal we should try and get a discount if we both buy at same time. I'm in the Columbus market too. If you talk to the salesman see if there would be any additional discount for us if we did that! I'm trying to get close to $40,000 for SX Prestige or as close as I can get.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just picked up my SX Xline from Freedom Kia last week. It couldn't have gone any smoother! Chris Imler is the a joy to work with. The process was the easiest I've ever had with buying a car. No pushy salesmen to deal with. I would purchase from Chris @ Freedom Kia over and over again.

Now, I just need to convince the wife I need the EV9!

Totally agree!

I have purchased a Kia from four different dealerships and they have all be essentially the same. It always takes TOO long to get out of there.
My latest was my 2024 Telluride from Coughlin Kia in Lancaster and despite haring everything squared away ahead of time, they moved like molasses as if they had nothing else to do. Which might have been the case as I was the only one closing on a vehicle at the time. Still took 2 hours to get out of the there. 🤬 That is always my complaint, just get the paperwork done - I don't need help with the vehicle, I already know more than any salesperson. BUT, that extra hour was a small price to pay to get my exact preferred Telluride at MSRP so I am happy now!

My purchase took about 4-5 hours, but all the paperwork was done at that time instead of ahead of time. I never got the feeling that the process was really dragging out OTHER than the fact that my wife and I had to drive a block over to the Hyundai Dealership for the financials and it was getting late in the evening. One good thing - it was one-stop shopping. Everything was done there INCLUDING license plate switch (I kept my old plates) - I was pleasantly surprised that I wouldn't have to trek to my DMV.
A LOT of stuff happens when you buy a car.

Oh yeah -that dealership I went to doesn't do the plate transfer - first time I have had that happen so I have to go the DMV to transfer my own plates. BOO!

Good evening. Who did you work with over at that dealership? I’m looking to do the same. Thanks.

I'll add mine from a couple months back. Dealt with Ray Skillman Westside Kia here in Indianapolis. Sales man Frank and Sales manager Joe. Got the vehicle for msrp. Doc fees reasonable. The security etching I declined a couple times but they split the cost so in the sake of arguing, I agreed and moved on. Frank was easy to and straight forward to deal with. Joe wasnt too difficult either. Got a decent trade in on my previous car. I could have argued for a bit more in hindsight. Got through financing where they tried to sell me an extended warranty and an interior warranty as well. Politely refused them. I paid some cash, had a trade in and financed the rest. Very easy process imo and one of my better car buying experiences ever. Total time was a little over two hours for the entire ordeal including time with Frank to show me some stuff on the telly. Based on my experience, I would recommend Ray Skillman Westside Kia here in Indianapolis.

Really struggling to find cars at MSRP in Northeast Tri State Area (Northern NJ - SE NY). Even dealerships that have 10 vehicles in stock in the trim I want (EX X-Line and I am not too picky about color/interior) which is driving me crazy. Also generally getting extremely low offers for my trade which is a '22 Stinger GT2 Scorpion Package. Anyone here have a recent good experience with dealers and specific salespeople in that area?

Just as an example, Jack Daniels Kia (10 minutes from where I live) have a Dawning Red on Black EX X-Line for $12k+ over MSRP, just insane.

In the area the closest worth checking out I hear on here that Albany which is only a couple hours away is MSRP. I ordered and picked up from Kia Muncie in Indiana and they can ship to you if you don't want to go out there (amazing to work with). JD is horrible, they wanted 15K over when I went there in October 2019 (they came down to 10K before we left). Good luck.

Will have to check out Albany area for sure, thanks for the recommendation! Honestly just feel defeated in the search right now so might revisit later on this year, also having a tough time with the idea of parting with the stinger.

Ah well, they are two totally different vehicles. They complement each other! don't let the crappy dealership markups get to you, there are MSRP deals to be had.
