I think the new Sorento is going to also be huge for KIA. I predict long lines for the SXP X-Line trim. If we didn't need a larger third row - that would be a compelling alternative.

Meanwhile K5 sales are going strong and next spring the new Sedona launches which will probably be KIAs best year for minivan sales. It is a good time to be a KIA salesman!

Agreed. That Sorento is badass, with amazing tech, some of which the Telluride doesn't even have. If I didn't absolutely love my Wrangler and offroading, that would be my next vehicle (Telluride is the wife's).

I bet some of that makes it to the Telluride when they do a mid-cycle refresh - which will help keep Telluride sales strong. At this point - KIA (and the dealerships) are printing money with KIA SUV sales.

Anyone have a SXP that was entered into KFOS in August and already receive a VIN?
Hoping mine pops up soon based off the original ETA of 11-1.

Ask you dealer for one of these...it will help you estimate when your vin will be created. FYI - I got my VIN on 9/25.

Yes. Here is my first one. My dealer provided this to me on 9/18...a week before my actual VIN was generated.

I was kinda hoping the Sorento would get to the dealers before I take delivery, then I could choose which one I liked better. The silver with the rust colored napa leather looks sweet.

No I got a vin almost a week before it popped up on failcat

My order hasn't been allocated yet, but I found a near exact match on Failcat at another dealership nearby.

I called them up and they told me it was still available! I was pretty excited until they told me it was MSRP + $5k. :mad:

I let them know I already had an order in at MSRP with their closest competitor, and the sales manager didn't believe me. Guess I'll keep waiting.

Current plan is for my son and I to fly up to Dallas Saturday (10/17) early morning and pick it up before lunch. Will finally get to meet the illustrious @StephenCantrelle in person. This is getting real!! The extra days will give them time to tint my windows and get it all pretty and clean for me.

@PassingTime Any news on your VIN? At this level of production - I would think we should start seeing August Allocations to start showing up with VINs produced.
