Any Dealers in Massachusetts taking 2021 Telluride orders at MSRP with not Market Demand Mark-up?

I was told all Tellurides are selling for 5k above asking at Wagner in Shrewsbury and one trim (S I think) at 7500 over MSRP.

Two dealers I'd recommend talking to who I know are taking MSRP offers (all trims) are Tasca Kia in RI and Quirk Kia in Manchester, NH (though not the Braintree location in MA). Obviously these are both not MA dealerships, but for many people they may be closer than some of the other dealers in Mass and even though they're out of state they can still take care of registering your car in MA, paying sales tax properly, etc.

Lev Kia in Framingham is taking orders and selling at MSRP. There is a wait but if you are not in need right away ... very reasonable.

I don't believe that is their new normal. Sadly, I think it is a just a bad (very bad) experience. I was sent a copy of a friend's paperwork from their SXP purchase a few weeks ago and it is all in order. MSRP, $499 doc fee and 0.9% for 48 months. Hopefully the good experiences outweigh the bad.

Updating my own post to correct it based on new information. And to point out where I personally was wrong.

I previously stated that Ron Bouchard Kia was offering the 0.9 for 48 (or 1.9 for 60, etc) that was the special promotion rate in months passed. I did the math wrong when looking at my friend's paperwork. That is my fault and still trying to figure out why I got it wrong. BUT, I was wrong. The rate was actually 2.75% for 48 months.

After going back and forth with them over the past week trying to work out the details for an order I stepped away. While it was a deal at MSRP, it felt a little dirty. The primary reason I was working with them was because they were guaranteeing my order to make it in the September allocation.

I have now confirmed Ron Bouchard Kia is NOT offering special Kia financing and has no plans to (September current special financing would be the 1.9 for 48 or 60).
They are only offering the $500 rebate with regular Kia financing rates. This would be fine but they have pushed a few other items that don't sit well and it all started to feel like a bad sales job.

1 - They are insisting that the Telluride MUST be financed through Kia. When I mentioned I may pay cash they said I could not and said I could pay it off after 90 days. No. Just no.
2 - They keep insisting you can not refinance before 90 days. There are posts on this forum to show this is clearly not true. This is just a way for the dealer to make sure the loan lives long enough for them to receive their kickback.
3 - Initially they stated they had to run credit check. I told them absolutely no way. It is not needed at this point.
4 - My order was to include only 2 add-ons -- illuminated door sills and rear bumper protector. If you have been following the forum you may know these items are on a list of a few that can't seem to be ordered right now. I actually told the salesman ahead of time that they may run in to this and told him to just remove them if they aren't available. I can always add them later myself. They added carpets to the order and told me "carpeted floor mats come with the car and I can't remove.....it is what it is...it's part of the package". Minor? Yes. But I don't need the $210 floor mats when I plan to add all weather ones on my own.

While part of this was my fault for thinking they would offer all available incentives, there were just too many things that made it feel off. Yes, in the grand scheme some of these items are overall minor. But, I will stick with waiting out my order from Lev Kia even though it will likely take longer.

@rbfromma Sorry to hear you had to walk away from your deal, but probably a good decision if it felt off. So far I have been happy with Lev Kia, but it really all comes down to what happens when I take delivery next week. I'll definitely post my experiences following that. For now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck to you. I hope your wait passes quickly.

Thanks. Agree that in the end it will probably be for the best and should only be a month or so difference in delivery. Definitely let us know how your delivery works out! I am waiting to hear back from Ken on whether we made it in to the September allocation. My guess is no, but we will see.

I ordered from Lev kia in Framingham from Ken Russian for MSRP in late July and picked up my telluride at the end of September. They don't control when the cars arrive but they sell for MSRP and the transaction was super low pressure. $500 refundable deposit. It was a really good experience.

Exactly what i was hoping to hear.
Did you call and ask for Ken initially? I emailed and got another guy...so may just call when I’m ready to order.

I live not to far from Framingham so I just stopped in to check it out. I also contacted them through email and got someone else. You can call and ask for Ken directly. He is usually there.

One minor thing is that they added $210 floor mats to the order. I'm not sure if you can tell them not to include that in your order. I asked them if they could take it off but they said it was already installed in the car. I didn't mind even though I got all weather floor mats. It was way better than buying above msrp

Asking for Ken directly is a good idea. He will no doubt give you his cell and email address as well. You can mention hearing about him through this site and the good feedback from @jenfowler78 , myself (Rich T), and others. He knows we have all been connected and sharing information.

Has anyone dealt with Mastria in Raynham?

Quick update to this thread for anybody checking out Kia of Attleboro. Not sure I’m ready to throw them on the ‘bad list’, but here’s what I encountered:
Although I’ve already ordered from Lev, I live much closer to Attleboro and wanted to actually drive an EX-P since I had only driven an LX previously. I texted them, and got lucky with one on the lot. Walked in and was greeted by a salesman named Dean (I think he’s new, as he isn’t listed anywhere on their website yet). He got me right in the EX-P and it completely confirmed all my feelings that it’s the right trim for me. It even had grey interior, which was the cherry on top for me - beautiful interior 😍
Got back and he asks where I’m at in the buying process, etc, etc. Once he figures out I’m looking for a GG w/grey he starts going back and forth with his boss to see what they can do. He brings back a printed window sticker of an EX-P, GG w/grey (second sticker he’s brought out, after I balked at the first w/ tow package) and says his boss is tight with the dealer that has this car (in NY) and might be able to swap it for one of their Telly’s on the lot. At first I’m intrigued, but come to find they’d need $3500 over MSRP to do it. I have other emails from Attleboro saying they no longer sold above sticker, so that was the first oddity.

Second, I couldn’t find it in recent VIN’s on FailCat while I was sitting there, and only now was able to find that it was created on 8/26! In my mind, there’s no way that car is still sitting on their lot...and can now confirm it’s nowhere to be found on that dealer’s website either. I ask Dean if they can call first to confirm the car is actually on the lot, and he says he’d have to know I’m committed first (with a deposit) before proceeding. 🧐🧐🧐
He then tries to get me into a 2020 Sorento; I get his card and leave.
Just me, or was that a sketchy tactic? I don’t have a ton of experience with going round and round at dealers, but that was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Again, can’t say I wouldn’t go back to Attleboro if they had exactly what I was looking for (at MSRP), but am still glad that I’m at Lev, and eager for the smooth experience that others have had.

I think your gut is probably right on this one. The good news is you got to see an EX-P in person and confirm your choice. It won't be long before you are in your own.

Just wanted to share my great experience with Herb Chambers of Burlington, MA and Julian Aguirre my salesman:

When I called the dealership I was told in stock Telluride's were selling over MSRP, I could get MSRP if I factory ordered and waited around 6 months for delivery, and the dealership would honor whatever KIA financing was available at the time of delivery.

I ordered the SX Prestige with Tow and put down a $500 refundable deposit. Ten days later Julian let me know the order was picked up in the system (KFOS?). Two days later he updated me with an ETA of 4 month's. Three month's from the day I ordered, he called to say it was at the dealership and ready for me to drive it away!

Julian was honest, upfront and easy to work with. I paid MSRP for my Telluride!

Excellent news and congratulations! What color did you go with? Any other options?

I went with Glacial White Pearl, Mud Guards and Interior Light Kit.

Looks like you'll also be getting your Telluride soon (12/12/20), you're going to love it.

Beautiful. And yes, hopefully soon we will take delivery!

For those who are ordering from dealers like Gervias, Lev and others who aren't marking up, what are they charging for doc fees and any other charges? Thanks.

Gervais charged 399.00 doc fee on my 21 Telluride, and my wife’s’21 Seltos.
Sales rep Bob Fisher and GM Jim Brophy
both decent and straightforward.
