If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Bad Dealer Dealings - List Your Bad Dealer Experience

Bad dealer experience. Visited Parkway Kia in Kingwood, Texas yesterday and the rep told me they are getting 12-15k over MSRP on Tellurides. He said they have a Telluride with all the features I wanted that is ordered and will arrive August 15, but I need to PRE-PAY.

Needless to say, I am still in the market for a Telluride.

Order from i25 Kia in CO. They’re selling for MSRP. It’s a few month wait, possibly sooner. But, no bull pricing, and they only do a $500 refundable deposit, so you can back out with no consequence if you find one in the meantime.

Isn't "market adjustment" something we used to call price gouging?

Or an “addendum”, a local dealer had an 8000 addendum on an EX
Addendum, that's a good one!

If you are looking for MSRP in the Philadelphia area, you'll want to check our Murray Kia in Conshohocken or Sussman Kia in Jenkintown. Those are the two I know of that are selling at MSRP. I purchased from Sussman Kia, but I've heard good things about Murray Kia.
Hey

Saw you had posted this about Sussman Kia - you mentioned MSRP but otherwise, did you have a good experience? Trying to pick between these philly area dealers.

Thanks!

I didn't comment on that dealer, never heard of them. I did speak to a good dealer in Stroudsburg or E. Stroudsburg I believe that is selling at msrp called Abelhoff.

Choosing between the 2, I recommend Murray Kia. They have significantly more allocations than Sussman Kia which should mean getting your ride quicker. If you do go with Murray Kia, I recommend ordering from their internet guy, Roger. Apparently, he is the one in charge of placing the order with Kia so he is more up-to-date with order statuses than the other sales people over there.

Abeloff Kia in Stroudsburg sells at MSRP. They said to expect 4-6 months, but I will have mine (SX AWD) less than two months from when I placed the order over the phone.

Really? Wow, I might've waited. Got an LX a couple weeks ago but had I known 2 months might've waited for an EX or S. Oh well. Still like the ride.

From where did you buy? I was expecting to pick up sometime in late November so I think I got lucky.

Folsom Lake Kia. Paid $5K over MSRP, paid handsomely for running boards I hate and rear seat video package I’ve removed and stored in a box. Took a groin shot on my MB trade-in price. Some of you are doing even worse. I agreed to all the above, but I still don’t have to like it or the dealer’s greed.

Sorry you got hosed. The first dealership I visited in Kingwood, Texas wanted 12-15k OVER MSRP! I couldn't believe it. Out of curiosity, why did you remove the rear seat video package? I almost ordered that on my car but changed my mind and didn't.

If you make a decision, even if it wasn’t exactly what you wanted, make peace with it.

When I spoke to a dealer about a custom order, he also let me know the 2 incoming units that were unspoken for. One was my fourth choice exterior color with my last choice interior color, while the other was better equipped in my last choice exterior color. ETA is ~5 weeks away but I’ve already made peace with my decision.
