• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... GAS MILEAGE

I don't get how close to 30 mpg is even remotely possible. (no offense). I only have about 2500 miles and yes, I have a lead foot, but I get like 18 mpg overall.
just took a trip to new jersey from Florida and back. I was getting between 28 and 30 mpg depending on my speed. best at 60 to 70. worst at 80 mph

EX AWD, 11,600 miles with lifetime mpg of 27.9. Was at 28.5 before colder temps and winter blend.
Damn, that's pretty damn good.My 2014 Dodge Dart gets around 26 MPG and is a small car lol

If you are getting over 25-26 mpg, then you are consciously working on it (60 on the hwy, eco mode, no warm ups). Here in Michigan, i have to warm up my car in the winter, and everyone goes 80 on the hwy. i am currently at 22 mpg in my AWD. Sport mode rules 😎

SX AWD. 23.7 mpg for about 3600 miles for 10 weeks.
It varies a lot depending on driving highway vs city.

SX AWD as well ....and what you are seeing is approximately what I am seeing......given all the capabilities of this vehicle compared to others in the same "luxury level"...I am pleased!

I'm getting way below average fuel economy (SXP AWD). Even in eco mode, and very light foot, we are averaging 18-19mpg on a mix of highway and city driving.

I also notice, even on light acceleration, we max out on the fuel mileage gauge in the drivers console, and takes a while for it to settle back to respectable fuel consumption. At this point, its disappointing...

Any thoughts?

I'm getting 16mpg now due to winter blend and cold Vermont winter, but as you can see I've been getting 20+ mpg even for mostly city driving. I'm sure your mpg will improve as weather warms up.

Not only that you track mileage on monthly basis, you actually plotted one chart!! That’s dedication!!

AWD vs FWD will make a big difference. Our AWD EX got us an average of 24.3 mpg from salt lake City to Phoenix this weekend. Cruise control set over 70 for most of the drive. We only have 1600 miles on her total. We have lots of luggage, two adults and two children in the vehicle. I am very pleased with the mpg averages I am seeing.

Thanks! I'd love to take credit, but it's an auto-generated tracker chart from my fuelly page. It also allows me to add services, which I find also very useful.

On a recent trip to Vermont from Pa. I got 25....cruise set at 73 most of the way...at 2600 miles on the meter , my overall mpg is 20.5.....my usual stop and go local is around 16. AWD and not engaging the "stop/start" system probably keeps the local lower.

Winter blend alone supposedly cost you 2-3mpg. I haven't made it a habit yet, but I try to disengage engine stop/start too whenever I can remember. Unless you're in a really bad traffic jam, I don't think it really saves you gas; its only purpose is to reduce your emission ... good for the environment.

where do you guys live?
We average 23-25 overall in Florida, but it is quite flat here with little elevation changes. However I averaged 24mpg on my drive from Indiana to Florida right off the dealer lot.

AWD SX... 14,300 miles... lifetime mileage is currently at 22.4. Most of our driving is on a flat 75 mph interstate, but we do get strong winds consistently in the northern plains. Most tanks over these cold months have been between 18-20 mpg. This will go up again for the summer months, but I think lifetime average will be around 22 mpg. This is mainly due to the 75-80 mph daily runs.
