However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

I had a great experience at Nucar Kia in Tilton NH. I live in Mass, and all dealers here were charging $7k-$10k markups. So I expanded my search to NH and found that Nucar was only marking up by about $2,500 and had a super fast turnaround time. I got my 2022 S AWD in about 7 weeks and couldn’t be happier with the process.
Showing $7k markup on their website currently

Just received our SXP yesterday after putting a deposit down through NowCar in mid march. Found out about the site from this forum and was extremely happy with the process. Ended up paying about 500 over MSRP

3/16 - Deposit submitted to get on wait list
4/9 - Allocated order slot
4/14 - Order picked up by factory with 5/24 ETA
5/4 - VIN provided, ETA moved to 5/17
5/14 - ETA pushed to 5/25
5/25 - Vehicle arrived at dealer
6/3 - Delivered

Just over 10 weeks from first contact with them to us having our new '22 SXP in the drive way. Highly recommend NowCar to anyone on the fence.
Looking at them today, they seem to be charging at least $4k over sticker for an SX AWD.

Interesting.. playing around with the zip code it's significantly higher for certain areas. (3-4k difference between FL and CA).

Unfortunate. but might be how they work in the shipping cost? Also looks like they have gone up slightly in the last couple months (~500?) for my zip. From some other posts on here it seems like they have been slowly creeping the price up as well, since it used to be below MSRP

Where are you located? I recall seeing their markup was $1500-2500 and I'm in Central Florida. I went with South Dade Kia instead but I recently heard from somebody they raised their markup to $4750!

I'm in Tampa, just double checked and we were actually 700 over but completely fine with that given the shipping.

Did you have a trade-in? Did they offer fair value?
Yes, I traded in a 2014 CR-V. They price matched CarMax, which was $11k (much higher than other buying sites)

I had a really good experience at Lou Fusz Kia in St. Louis, Mo. For the first time in all of my car buying experiences, nobody tried to upsell me on anything or overcharge for anything. I ordered the Telluride I wanted (2022 SX Prestige with towing, in Gravity Gray), waited exactly 5 months and it showed up with no problems. They didn't pressure me to buy anything else, but did offer insurance quotes. I asked for a quote on the 10 year 100,000 mile, $0 deductible extended warranty plan which I bought for $2020; not the lowest I've seen, but close to it. I traded my old car for a fair price. I am quite pleased.

Picked up my Telluride today from Matthews Kia of Clay outside Syracuse NY. MSRP plus $175 doc fee. Went super smooth and no pressure. I was the last out of town deal they did so unfortunately they only sell to locals now but I still wanted to give them their due.

Fowler Kia (formerly I-25 Kia) Longmont, CO. Mentioned on this site many times for a reason. While you won’t find free soda machines, popcorn, a goody bag with nice leather keychains and water bottles- you’ll get a great deal on your Telluride

I stared shopping three weeks ago. Placed an order here. One week went by and a similar order had cancelled - they transferred my deposit to it. Next week I call to check status and they had a better model on the lot. Freshly canceled order.

So I walked out with a 2022 Glacial White/Dune Brown/Prestige/Tow (no nightfall but that’s one I personally can live without as much I like it, I’ll take the nicer interior and less wait).

3.49% financing with $10K down over 72mo.

No MSRP markups - you order, car on lot, THEY DONT DO MARKUPS!
No GPS tracker add-ons. No protection package add-ons. No gimmicks. Yes they’ll sell you extended warranty in finance, just say no or buy it. That’s nothing these days.

They seem to focus on volume so that’s good for us too because so many orders you’ll likely get a cancelled one sooner than waiting it out. Highly recommend.

Flexibility -- as to colors, trims, options, even car models if necessary -- is the most powerful shopping tool. With it, you're reasonably in control of your driving destiny, and your wallet. Without it, you're at the mercy of manufacturers' timetables and dealers' markup demands.

I got my 2022 from Premier Kia in Lufkin, TX. They were awesome to work with. We ordered exactly what we wanted, payed MSRP, and we were in and out in about a half hour when we picked up the car. Highly recommend working with them if you're in Texas.

Has anyone been offered a lower % financing rate only if you purchase an extended protection plan/warranty?

e.g. our Telluride via local bank beat out Kia at the time but it was still well over 4%. Approaching 5%. Can’t remember exact numbers.

But then the finance guy told me they can use the warranty to “buy down” with a local bank they work with a lot. The warranty was like $3,200 “value” (cost added on) to the purchase price but financed out of you did the full term loan would still be less, at 3.49% - I have super-prime, tier 1 credit. Just in May we got 0% from Ford credit for a different vehicle.

So was finance guy bluffing? Is this a thing? Can I cancel warranty once loan is funded and apply the $ to the principal?

It’s barely been a month but some things changed and we decided we’d like to pay off the vehicle within a 1-1.5 years so % won’t matter as much now vs. a 72mo loan.

If the warranty can be canceled or pro-rated I assume you would get a check back and you could apply to principle to cut your number of payments down.

Can you please tell me when you ordered? Because I have been waiting on mine for 11 months. Thanks.

How do the define locals? Same zip code? Same State?

Any tips on finding one on the lot that I can buy for MSRP? Some people in the thread mentioned finding one randomly on a lot. Not sure how or what to search for since autotrader just lists MSRP price for new cars and you can't see if the dealership marks it up. I see a few dealerships named in this thread (CO, TN, NY) that don't add markup. Willing to fly anywhere within 500 miles of Atlanta to buy the car. Any tips appreciated.
