Nightfall window trim fading,2021 Telluride

Mine was fading pretty bad after two years, I just had the trim wrapped in black. Looks way better then the gunmetal trim IMO

Where did you get the wrap? Can you post a picture please? I don’t think the dealership where I moved will do a warranty claim.

I took it to my guy who did my PPF. Those types of places are usually able to do it. I live in Eastern PA. I'll post a picture soon.

Well went to dealership where I just moved to in St Augustine FL and they say it’s external environment and therefore not covered by warranty. I asked “if it’s not a known issue then why was Nightfall discontinued and why are there so many of these parts on back order?” They just told me I’ll have to call Kia Customer Service. Ridiculous. Paying for Nightfall was a waste. Tired of this run around.

I had ours replaced after a month’s long ordeal. Essentially we had to threaten to sue. Our dealer service is embarrassingly bad.

I bought a used Telluride NF and it looked like new besides the faded window trim. I sanded and painted it myself with automotive trim spray paint I found on Amazon. Tedious but worth it. Let's see how long it lasts!

I'm having the same issue with the black trim around the windows of mine also. Add my name
to your list. Dealership just told me it would not be covered under my warranty. Thanks

Mine is in having the trim replaced under warranty. Also the "TELLURIDE" letters front and rear are delaminating and I believe they are replacing those too. I have a 2021 w/ 39k miles.

Got tired of how bad it looked so I used acetone to remove the remaining black/gray spots and now it looks shiny all over. Not what I paid for but at least it's not embarrasing to drive. I very carefully masked the paint near the trim before doing this.

One dealership that wouldn’t replace mine instead recommended to me to use the Chemical Guys light metal polish to get something more uniform

Do you have a before and after picture? Recenty purchased a pre-owned 2021 SX Nightfall edition and the trim was terrible. We asked the dealership to have that fixed either paint or wrapped in gloss black which they did neither, as part of our deal, however whatever was done looks 100% better. Upon pickup there were missed areas in corners that I am wondering if I could use acetone on.

Went to a different dealer in Jacksonville FL back in Oct and service agent at this dealer no questions asked put in the warranty claim for the trim. Went back in for a thermostat issue a week ago and no update on eta for the trim. He told me they have 31 sets on back order.

Just find somone local who does chrome delete and have it wrapped in black. It looks so much better!

I would just find someone local who can do a chrome delete (vinyl warp) in black! You will be much happier with the look!

I have a Nightfall edition and I had the trim wrapped in black and taillights blacked out. Love it. I'll send pictures once I get it cleaned up!
