Maybe my letter did help!!KIA is killing it in SXP Production this month. Despite the jump up in NFP production - October is shaping up to be one of the best months this year.

I fly out tomorrow to pick mine up tomorrow and drive mine home!Coincidence or otherwise, I think the #s prove there was a difference after you gave them the business. Thanks, I'm a Black Copper/Dune Brown SXP-T from Muncie also, my VIN popped up 8 days after yours, so hopefully I'm making the trip soon. Thanks again, for all you did/didn't do.
Fantastic news!!! I know that feeling. You’re going to love herI fly out tomorrow to pick mine up tomorrow and drive mine home!
Take a look at my signature line below for a time tableI ordered my SXP in March and just got an ETA of 11/21. I still do not have a VIN though. Should I be worried?? How long does the whole process take from build to delivery? Does anyone know? Thanks in advance![]()

Thank you. I check Failcat every day but come up empty. When I contact my sales guy he just gives me the ETA again and says he will update me when there is a VIN. I just find it hard to believe that my car will be here on 11/21 if no VIN has appeared yet. While seeing other time tables is helpful, it definitely depends on the model ordered and which dealership you ordered from. Gonna be honest, @Frankie Knuckles - I've watched your journey and was extremely jealous of how quickly you received your order!
@asep If your ETA of 11/21 is accurate, your VIN should already be generated, or be generated very soon. For reference, my vehicle is due 11/26 and my VIN popped up last week. If you haven't already, I would check out the FailCat website, look for your dealership, and see if any of the window stickers match your order. That's how I found out my VIN was generated - I saw a window sticker on FailCat that matched my order exactly, then confirmed with Steven Cantrelle (an amazingly helpful member here) that the VIN is attached to my name.
@travelbug928 I have heard that several times and yes you are correct that it appears I had a quick turnaround. But the truth be told, my initial order was through Kdealer and that was in April. KIA was shut down due to COVID and was not accepting orders thru KFOS until mid July. So to be more transparent, I have been waiting since early April. While that is not nearly as long as others, it was 6 plus months from initial Kdealer order to delivery. I will edit my signature line to reflect the true timeline. KFOS opened on the 15th and closed on the 17th for dealers to enter orders based on their allocations. ETA for the orders entered was provided last week. If you didn't get an ETA last week, then you need to wait until mid-November when KFOS opens again to see if your order is allocated. I am on the same boat.any August SXP orders get an ETA as of yet? talked to my dealer yesterday and still no acceptance or update
Thank you. Very helpful. We ordered the exact same car! I am so excited. I have heard it lives up to the hype.I wouldn't be nervous just yet. ETAs are ESTIMATES and there is no hard, fast rule to say a VIN will be created XX number of days before delivery. With the factory in GA, delivery to the Pacific NW is certainly going to be longer than delivery to the southeastern states. Some deliveries are done strictly by truck and others require train. Generally, you will see a VIN created 3-6+ weeks before final delivery. I suspect you will see your VIN in the next week or 2. Once the VIN shows then the ETAs start to get a bit tighter.
