Order to delivery time

Lol this has nothing to do with you! Im mad like any other member here who didn’t go with a new package or new color. Kia prioritizing them on any other order. Anyway, congrats you finally made it! I think you hold the record for the longest wait!

Thanks, I figured as much. It was a tough decision When I made the change, knowing that I was rolling the dice on if it would make it come faster or push it out longer. I got lucky for sure and for the first time in months and months it actually feels real. Mostly I was just giving you a hard time.

I will probably hang around here after I take delivery just so I can see the pictures of all the users I have come know’s new cars when each of you finally complete this agonizing journey.

My car is in Indiana, I live in Texas. I have arranged shipping that will have it here Monday. I gave it a few days buffer when I set it up to be safe. After paying for the shipping, I am still under MSRP and likely thousands below anything I could get around here.

Any dealer here can confirm swp is now replaced by gwp? Or was that mentioned before? I see people talking about it as there are no swp created lately, but we all know kia make cars in batches. Like that time where no prestige were made for more than 2 weeks.

I feel bad for anyone who really wanted swp and got switched automatically. But Stephen didn’t mention if they’re all gonna be gwp. He said kia is automatically switching those swp that can’t be filled to gwp. Or did i get it wrong?

There was 1 SWP Vin created on 8/25, other than that all the others were 8/22 or earlier. So I’d take a guess that any built after that date will be GWP.

See I would say that too. But i keep thinking about that time when they stopped making prestige and Stephen confirmed about how kia operates creating cars in batches. Time will tell. And btw why are you in all these discussions? Is there any topic you’re not following?

I called a dealership that shall not be named in January to discuss ordering a Telluride. Called back in May to say let's go ahead. They said, "Can't order anything right now," which I learned from this forum was the case, but they have continued to tell me they couldn't order yet or have not responded to my emails.

That's when I walked into Hutchinson Kia in Albany, GA. They said I could order for MSRP. Told them I wanted an EX AWD in Everlasting Silver with a tow hitch. We talked about a 3-6 month wait which I was fine with.

9/4 - Order placed
9/14 - VIN appeared on failcat
9/17 - Dealership called and said our car had been delivered

We are going to pick it up this afternoon. We were totally shocked.

Congrats! We believe you. That’s definitely an incoming allocation that matches your order. If the exterior color and the tow hitch are all what you asked for specifically then it is really easy to find it quickly. Post some pictures when you pick up
