I was kind of wondering about the timeline myself. Initially was told 4-6 months, but think they're just hedging their bets honestly. No clue on the allocation status, but I do know where I live (In San Antonio), they're not getting a lot of them in on a regular basis. Went with this dealership as they were willing to do the order for me...not one of the SA dealerships would. Currently own a 2013 Ford Explorer that we love, so not in a big rush and the car's in good shape...just ready for something new.9+ month wait seems long at the current production rates. That is unless they have lots of people in line waiting for an allocation at your dealership. Do you know the status of the allocations at KIA of South Austin?
Also - nice to see another Texan on the forum! Welcome.

Got word that my car arrived at the dealership late yesterday. That makes 46 days from order to delivery.
I was initially quoted 4-6 months like most others who ordered from I-25 around me. Was surprised when I received an ETA of 9/18 and suspect I may have had an order that matched up with a dealer allocation.
Looking forward to flying in and picking up next week. Hoping some of the long waiting forum members get similar good news over the next couple of weeks.View attachment 10575
Congrats! Over 2 months from GA to NYC though? Or did you mean 8/13, or did they lose your car while in transit? Hah
I'll try and keep this short. I think I found it on Failcat on 7/15, and it had a VIN date of 7/13. Called the dealership in Rochester, NY (a 6 hour drive from me) and nobody had a deposit on it yet so I put one down and was given an ETA of 8/11. As I got closer to the date I'd check in once a week and it kept getting bumped another week. First 8/22 then 8/29, 9/5, then 9/17. The 9/17 date seemed solid as it was the first time I checked on a Monday and it hadn't been bumped again, so I figured this was it. I sold my Jeep last Tuesday so I could transfer the plates and waited for that "it's here!" text. Then 9/17 came and went, as did 9/18 then on 9/19 I was told it was pushed again now 9/25 but found out it was at least on rail in Ohio awaiting truck transport. This whole time I had no idea where it was and I started to think it was still in GA waiting on towing package parts or a HUD or other reasons/rumors I had read on this forum. I had changed my flight 5 times already and something told me not to change it yet, to wait and see. That and the fact that flights were all 3x-4x more $ for the next two weeks. Boy am I glad I didn't as the dealer can't inspect/prep it until tomorrow morning anyway so the timing worked out. So if the VIN create date of 7/13 is it's born on date, it took 2 months and 1 week from GA to NY, and another 2 days to NYC (hopefully)Congrats! Over 2 months from GA to NYC though? And I thought I’m the unlucky one! I keep thinking though, are our cars which took longer than a month to be shipped defect, and then they went back to the factory after test driving them and fixed them again! I hope not, but that’s the only thing I keep thinking of!I'll try and keep this short. I think I found it on Failcat on 7/15, and it had a VIN date of 7/13. I can just hear the whomp whah of the Debbie Downer horn....Let's hope not though it has 10 miles on it already and that test track looked to be 2-3 miles at most.

Yes, the dealer mentioned that and specifically took the picture before they did to show how many miles it had right off the truck. I believe the intent was to show that they didn't allow any test drives on it. So far these guys have been great, looking forward to posting my full review & pics this weekI believe the dealer will drive it as well for a couple of miles to make sure it works
I’ll bet you’ll get it before mineMy Telluride is in transit to Muncie.
That would be weird. Maybe your Telly will finally arrive today.I’ll bet you’ll get it before mine
