Big day is here...just got the call, she's ready for pickup. Heading over around 4, should have pics tonight! Too bad I'm going on a trip tomorrow and vacation next week, but at least she'll be safely stored in the garage.

I have three (yes, three) Tellurides on order…first one because the salesman was the most responsive and no deposit required. Second one because I was wishy-washy on the color I wanted. Third because another dealership really wanted my business apparently and offered to not only order me one despite knowing I have other orders out there, but also waive the deposit they normally require.

Telly 1 ordered 7/7 (SX AWD Moss/Butterscotch) was quoted 3-5 months at the time of order. On 7/23 salesman told me there are 59 orders ahead of mine and that my order likely won’t get picked up by Kia for 3 months.

Telly 2 ordered 7/23 (SX AWD Ebony/Butterscotch) was quoted 2-4 months. Salesman doesn’t seem to know much about KFOS and hasn’t been very forthcoming with information.

Telly 3 ordered 7/27 (SX AWD Moss/Butterscotch). No ETA quote but was confident they’d get mine sooner than the others.

Yep, the waiting is brutal!

They were great! I went in knowing what I wanted and the salesman and the manager were not pushy or slimy at all.

Yes, but … the March orders were all converted from 2021s to 2022s at some point so they started coming out with the 2022s in I wanna say June?!? TONYK11 ordered from Parsons in mid-June and took delivery of his EX from Parsons in July. I’m trying to remain optimistic but you’re probably right about Christmas.

I ordered from Parsons on July 3rd and was told that some models come in faster than others. For example, they have more allocations for an EX or SX without NF (like Tony's) so those get prioritized. I'm sure there are many other factors in place. The sales manager said he can go into the system and change a few of the specs on one allocation to get it closer to what a client wants (before Kia accepts the order) but that it's like a lottery as to how Kia accepts the order. I'm in no hurry to get mine but sure it would be nice to know the ETA for certain.
