  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

Ordered this past week 1/18 from a dealer in VA. Was told it’ll easily be 6 months out and was warned they may switch to 2023 models by that time so it would be a gamble. Anyone have any insight? Wouldn’t mind a 23 but from what the dealer said last year all orders had to be resubmitted when they made the switch between 21s and 22s.

If a VIN shows up in failcat does it mean that it's at the dealership or could it mean it's in transit or coming soon?

Ordered S Trim, Gravity Grey w/ Grey Interior, AWD. Ken Parsons Kia in Winchester VA said 4-6 months, but S Trim takes less time than EX/SX so we’ll see!

Ordered SX from Kia of Muncie on June 9. Just got notified by dealer that ETA is April 5. Original estimate of 6-8 months but will be closer to 10. Not too surprising given supply chain isues.

Are you local to them? I was told they’re no longer going to be ordering for people outside of their area.

Are they forcing you to use in house financing?
In a way, they said if I use my own, they have to add 2k to the price. Because of the influx of out of area buyers using their own financing, the banks they deal with will stop doing business with them. 🤷‍♂️

Getting ready to ship to dealer soon usually.
Thanks I'm getting excited

Is there anything bad with in house? I'll probably qualify for their 1.9%. That's not a bad thing right?

Same. My salesman said they can’t guarantee that the 1.9% promo will be available at the time of delivery, but in all likelihood it probably will. I’m good with that!

That doesn’t sound very ethical to me. Hope it works out.

Man that's crazy. I ordered a day before you, but my order was picked up 1/3 with ETA 2/6. I'm guessing you also ordered FWD? That would fall in line with them seeming to only get 1 of those every 2 months or so.

Yeah that doesn't sound ethical not being able to use your own financing. You know they are padding their finance rates with their banks.

Considering they get about 10 Tellurides a month, I wouldn't count on even 90 days, let alone 30. Perhaps their mark-ups are driving people away so you could possibly get picked up in KFOS quickly.
Good point!

I have decided, even if they get our car in tomorrow, I will not give them anymore business other than the 1k deposit we gave them already. Their customer service and mark-up is complete trash. I went with my gut and decided to place an order with another dealer. This new dealer didn't call it a markup; instead it was more of a packaged deal. We ended up getting more and paying about 7k less still and with no deposit down. I'll wait.

I didn't know it was happening in other places, too. We went to a dealership in NC where the finance manager told us to our face that he will not sell us the Telluride if we do not go with KIA financing... smdh

I need to unsubscribe from emails notifications. I keep seeing the alert on my phone and thinking the dealership has emailed with an ETA.
Ordered mid Oct..
